I equipped Dodon Ray and did it by doing the same pattern again and again:
Dodon Ray -> a combo where I punch UI Goku away at the end -> 10x Kamehameha
Nearly lost again but ultimately I did it
It's been awhile since I did that fight myself, so I forget what kind of souped up stats that particular UI Goku might have. Normally, he's very vulnerable to being played poorly due to his stamina mechanic, but as a boss I imagine he's got something beefing him up.
I remember that back then his stamina was very poor so it was fairly easy to break his guard but seems like he has been buffed slightly. Online others suggested keeping him away from you while blasting him with Ki Blasts but once I try to get away from him he always uses the X+A charge so it was nearly impossible to do that. The dodon ray strategy was the only way to do this for me haha
If you figure out that win on your own, then all the sweeter the victory.
