Half-arsed Human 'transformation'
Why I will never buy this game unless they actually add sensible Human transformations...

I think they have the Namekian transformation down perfectly, so they have done well in that area.

To grasp the content of my argument you will have seen Dragonball...

They missed out on some incredible transformations for humans, Tien has demonstrated plenty of potential transformations for humans. Even if you didn't want to choose a Tien transformation, at least give the player the ♥♥♥♥ing chance to do some 'unleash potential' type buff where the character is physically stronger or some sort of meditation transformation where they are glowing or have a third eye or something along those lines.

Four Witches technique: A perfect transformation for melee-orientated players, Tiens technique spawns an additional 2 arms, that increases speed, attack power and most of all looks bad ♥♥♥, look it up on Youtube.

For blast characters, the user could force Ki into blasts at the expense of quick use, and extended use or prolonged use would damage health, think of Neo Tri-beam but with a more practical use. Straying from Kaio-ken because this transformation would be used in a 'trap' strategy, where the player would lure the enemy into a overwhelming one-off blast.

To conclude, I personally think the Nimbus transformation only seeks to complement the fast-paced fighting style of the game rather than actually add 'cool' factor.

There will obviously be some die-hard Saiyan noobs whom I fought a lot online who liked to spam the God of Destruction blast who will probably disagree with me.

Anyways, any thoughts will be received and taken in.

While I agree the human transformation is lackluster, they really could have done better with it, they've managed to balance out the super saiyan spammers. The Majin Buu transformation is also somewhat lackluster honestly, all you do is turn into kid buu with the skin tone of your character.

While super saiyan no longer drains ki over time, it doesn't give infinite ki anymore. They'll be able to throw out 1-3 of those max, and some ultimates take 4 or even 5 ki bars now to fire. And regular super saiyan slows ki generation from basic attacks, and super saiyan 3 turns it off altogether.

Personally I play a melee orientated frieza's race, and the Golden form transformation is pretty awesome in looks and ability, but its more focused on buffing ki blasts then melee damage increase. So it doesn't do much for me stats wise other then a nifty speed boost.

Turns it off no? i still regenerate ki in SSJ3 but very very slowly.
Which is why i have added a super soul that makes ki auto-generate =)

We all know they gave the giant namekian, golden frieza, and power pole transformations just to throw a race specific bone to non saiyans.

As a Namekian player, I'm loving giant Namekian for fighting giant apes, and that's basically it. It's big, it can't be harmed (hitting it takes its stamina instead of hp), but damn is it S L O W.

Any person with half a brain would simply fly away from a Namekian when it goes giant. On the other hand, if you have a LOT of stamina, you can use giant Namekian when you're low health to let your racial health regeneration do its thing, but unless you have Rise to Action or some other stamina recovery, its usefulness will run out when your stamina does. Of course, once you guard break, the other player is going to punish you severely if you can't counter their offense with your own offensive moves.

I think that Steam's discussion section should only be available for people who actually bought the game.

Except for the minor issue where turning giant is one of those transformations that overwrites your moveset? I mean, I see the theory of switching off and "recharging," but then one's inviting an auradash.

So yeah. Potential Unleashed for my Namekian.

Human transformation is amazing...what are you on about? Cloud and nimbus, while rather "Meh" is actually really strong. You can block ulti's with the transformation. It cannot be stamina broken. You can attack while guarding. You have attacks while rushing. You can back attack from like 50 ft away. You can rush attack into multiple combos...What is so bad about it?

Don't they already have access to unleash potential and kaio-ken?

The only other canon transformation I can think of for Earthlings is this:

Do what I do and consider it a defensive move that punishes overly aggressive enemies.

Someone blindly flying at you to attack is going to take a LOT of damage from your attacks. Of course, I use something like DIE DIE Missile Barrage to help hold an attacker off while my stamina recharges after letting myself do a guard break.

You think they're going to devote time and resources to developing art assets, animations, etc, for a six armed transformation when they're not going to do a one armed Future Gohan?

This "Useless" Transformation let me stomp the ♥♥♥♥ out of the final boss. Did HELLA damage.

P.S. Over 100 Points in Basic and Strike.
Baklavah Oct 30, 2016 @ 11:28pm
If you want to use less lazy transformations, Potential Unleashed and Kaioken. There you go. Alternatives so that you can avoid the laziness of the devs. You're welcome.
Rendan Oct 30, 2016 @ 11:30pm
I mean it is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ NIMBUS but the fact you can't use any skills on it is kind of weak......but yeah like it was stated before: Kaioken or Potential Unleashed far outclass Nimbus.
<Blank /> Oct 30, 2016 @ 11:31pm
I dunno about the balance. SSJ3 nerfing ki regen seemed okay, but you can almost obliterate the regen issue by using a ki regen soul like Android 18's. At the same time, the SSJ3 tranformation doesn't allow as much buff to Ki attacks as Super Vegeta 2 which is what I prefer to use anyway.

Human transformations seem balanced for a very particular playstyle which is unfortunate. I've seen them work as much as not for people.

Majin really got pretty screwed hard, though. It's not a great transformation in terms of buffs, plus it doesn't really do much except palette swap a kid buu model. Kind of annoying.
