While super saiyan no longer drains ki over time, it doesn't give infinite ki anymore. They'll be able to throw out 1-3 of those max, and some ultimates take 4 or even 5 ki bars now to fire. And regular super saiyan slows ki generation from basic attacks, and super saiyan 3 turns it off altogether.
Personally I play a melee orientated frieza's race, and the Golden form transformation is pretty awesome in looks and ability, but its more focused on buffing ki blasts then melee damage increase. So it doesn't do much for me stats wise other then a nifty speed boost.
Turns it off no? i still regenerate ki in SSJ3 but very very slowly.
Which is why i have added a super soul that makes ki auto-generate =)
As a Namekian player, I'm loving giant Namekian for fighting giant apes, and that's basically it. It's big, it can't be harmed (hitting it takes its stamina instead of hp), but damn is it S L O W.
Any person with half a brain would simply fly away from a Namekian when it goes giant. On the other hand, if you have a LOT of stamina, you can use giant Namekian when you're low health to let your racial health regeneration do its thing, but unless you have Rise to Action or some other stamina recovery, its usefulness will run out when your stamina does. Of course, once you guard break, the other player is going to punish you severely if you can't counter their offense with your own offensive moves.
Except for the minor issue where turning giant is one of those transformations that overwrites your moveset? I mean, I see the theory of switching off and "recharging," but then one's inviting an auradash.
So yeah. Potential Unleashed for my Namekian.
The only other canon transformation I can think of for Earthlings is this:

Do what I do and consider it a defensive move that punishes overly aggressive enemies.
Someone blindly flying at you to attack is going to take a LOT of damage from your attacks. Of course, I use something like DIE DIE Missile Barrage to help hold an attacker off while my stamina recharges after letting myself do a guard break.
You think they're going to devote time and resources to developing art assets, animations, etc, for a six armed transformation when they're not going to do a one armed Future Gohan?
P.S. Over 100 Points in Basic and Strike.
Human transformations seem balanced for a very particular playstyle which is unfortunate. I've seen them work as much as not for people.
Majin really got pretty screwed hard, though. It's not a great transformation in terms of buffs, plus it doesn't really do much except palette swap a kid buu model. Kind of annoying.
