Best way to pull off a 45 hit combo?

Timing + X button combo + High-ish ki + Metor Crash. I got a 57 hit combo with that.

Problem with it is they always either evade or use their evasion move.

Does getting the 45 hits combo through training work ? You could always do that.

It does work and the best thing is the combos seem to be retroactive so get a 50 one while youre at it to say time.

If it's for the Hercule challenge, I'm not sure if training counts. I myself never tried it that way. I did it in PQs. There's several ways to do 45+ hits in those. Meteor crash is a sure fire way to get 30+ hits against the AI who for some reason seems to vanish mostly against basic attacks but almost never against supers nor ultimates once the first hit of those connect. One other way is to bring AI partners with supers that can do many hits and when they are doing those on an opponent, add your hits to the combo. So long as you contribute, the combo will count for you. Same can be done with player partners as well.

Of course, stamina break into a combo if also a great way to pull off a large number of hits.

use super ghost, charge and unload barrage, the ghosts will hit and continue the combo. unleash another barrage

Ki Explosion with enough Ki or some other similar channeled super/ultimate should be enough to get you an easy 45 hit combo.
