Delete save game data?
So how do I do this? I imported a character from DBX1 thinking it would import everything, but it doesn't. Because of this I have clothing I don't want. I do remember the game stating somewhere I should delete my save game data to reset everything, but how do I do that? I have tried deleting the .sav but that does nothing since the game automatically loads my character from the server.
Any ideas on how to do this?

Library right click to XENOVERSE 2 Properties and disabled Steam cloud
now : go to disque local C or D Program Files , Steam , userdata , enter to main
search folder 323470 enter to remote and delete DBXV.SAV and DBXV2

Deleting the save files is not sufficient, read my solution here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/454650/discussions/0/305509857565411319/

Basically, if you disable the cloud, and delete the data - yes that does work. But with the cloud off, it will not import from XV1.

But if Cloud is on, it will keep restoring the XV2 data it already backed up.

So what you need is a newer DBXV2.sav file.

Open the existing one with Notepad++ or Notepad, select all the content in there, and delete it. Then save the file. It should be an empty file that's the size of 0kb, and will have more recent timestamp than your backup.

This is what worked for me, and allowed me to import from XV1 as well.

Before you start a new game in XV2, go back into XV1 and equip everything to a character that you want to important.

I made a new Lvl 1 character, put the clothing and special attacks on that I wanted.

Thanks for the replies, but I refunded the game due to some issues I had with it. This was mostly something I noticed right away and found curious.

Yeah it's pretty stupid that the game tells us the save has to be deleted, and yet there's no friendly way of accomplishing it.

If you delete the save data, yes.

Two years later and this is the one that worked, just bought the game and I'm loving it :P

So, i imported my XV1 to XV 2 without an issue, but i didn't know i wouldn't be able to play with that character and the one i created on XV 2 was identical, even the name, but since they are different persons in lore, i want to delete my XV 2 character and create a new one, if i delete the XV2 save, can a i create a new one and keep the imported data from XV1?

You wouldn't have to delete your whole save. Just delete the character in question from the main menu and make a new one.

IMPORTANT WARNING! This user is a lying ♥♥♥♥, he is trying to make you delete your Xenoverse 1 data, not Xenoverse 2. I'll make him pay in blood on my own time, but for any unfortunate user who googled this and found this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥'s lie, DON'T DO IT.
If you already deleted your files because of him, let me know and I'll split whatever spoils I get out of breaking this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ over my knee.

Have you tried turning off cloud saves and making sure the DBXV2 isn't there?

Here's where it is for me:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<ID numbers>\<ID numbers>\remote\DBXV2

So you have to drill down and find it, and delete it. If your Cloud Save is on, it might be restoring it each time. So make sure that's off first.

You can turn it back on at a later time when everything is working.

I already deleted it, fortunately I never played XENOVERSE 1, I just bought the legend patrol DLC for X2
