Still, looks like a pretty big discount to me. You could gamble on waiting and buying one pass at a time isn't a bad idea (but do get the passes if you do, do not buy the DLC individually), but you may be in for a very long wait regardless.
Do you think so? I was wondering if it would ever reach Xenoverse 1 DLC price tags...
Thanks fo the detailed answer.
You see, I have no issues with the game pricing, I believe the problem is the DLC price localization. Where I leave the game is $25 on sale, and the DLCs are $140 on sale.
Also, on sale, buying the 3 passes + pre order bonus would cost $145, however, buying each dlc individually costs $125. There's def smth wrong with the passes pricing here.
What annoys me is that the DLCs are around 5 times the price of the game. As a comparison, the full game is more expensive than DBZ Kakarot on launch, Sekiro, or even Ubisoft titles on full price.
I was wondering if the DLC prices would ever drop to Xenoverse 1 price tag or if I could ever hope for a Complete Edition of some sort. But, it seems I should just buy a piece at a time then. Thanks for the answer!
I don't know why they'd be listed so weirdly where you are. Though good to keep checking the math. Whether you buy now, buy later, or not at all, good to keep the numbers straight to make sure.
This current sale is going to end in like an hour so maybe it's better to just be patient. The sales will one day come around again.
I think I will wait by now. It should probably be on sale again on Xmas.
The pricing issue is mostly with the Super Pass, Super Pack 1,2,3,4 are 7,99 each, and the Super Pass is 49,99. Ultra Pass is the same price as the packs tho, the pass is 29,95 and the packs 1 and 2 are each 14,95, Extra Pass is also a bit more expensive, 59,99, Extra Packs 1,3 and 4 are 14,95 and Extra Pack 2 is 10,34.
That's probably a good call. Another opportunity will present itself.
Wow, that is ridic. So assuming the numbers you gave me are the non-discounted full price, buying the Super packs individually would actually save you nearly 20 vs getting the Super Pass, where as normally for me, buying the pass over the individual packs at full price barely saves me 2 bucks.
I don't know what currency you're using so I don't know how much 20 is worth to you, but the individual super packs seem priced the same for us both regardless of currency.
What is this nonsense? Why are the passes priced so stupidly high? There's no point to them like that. Nevermind the fact that they barely seem to save any money at all even when they're priced normally, which is, itself, kinda bull.
You know what? Forget what I said earlier. If that's the kind of crap they're gonna pull on you, I recommend you keep an eye on those numbers and think carefully about what you want vs your spending habits to try and maximize your savings. Personally, I would seriously consider cherry picking only a few DLC during a sale and only if you really felt like you absolutely had to have them.
That is indeed pretty crappy...
I actually gave you the discounted prices. But every DLC was 50% off, so the proportion remains. Now that the sale is over, Super Pass is $100 and each of the 4 Super Packs is $16.
Buying the pass would be $36 more expensive, which is around a 7 or 8 USD difference.
When you calculate with all the DLC at full price, it is 10 dollars more costly to buy the passes, which is a bit scummy.
I am pretty sure this violates some consumer's rights. Wish I could contact Steam on that, but it's not like they care anyways.
I will probably wait to see if the prices will ever get fixed or reduced, or, if I am lucky, Maybe a Complete Edition will be available.
The thing with the DLC is: I am a huge Dragon Ball fan. The reason why I want to get XenoVerse 2 is because it's the only game to include a retelling of Dragon Ball Super.
Fighterz is non canon, XenoVerse 1 stops at Ressurrection F, and we still don't know where Kakarot Season Pass will end. It probably won't go all the way to the T.O.P. And, besides the Super Arcs in that game seem to be really weird and a bit rushed, Battle Of Gods was completely different from the Manga/Movie/Anime.
So, getting XenoVerse 2 is my best bet until they realease a game that covers both Z and Super, but, since DBS is DLC, buying only the base game would be kinda pointless for what I want.
So, right now, I will just have to wait and see if it ever becomes cheaper. If not, I will probably buy the game a piece at time, so my wallet doesn't feel the punch so much.
Anyways, thanks a lot for the answers and I apologize for any language mistakes.
If Kakarot is in the middle of a season pass, would probably be wiser to leave it be for awhile until they finish unless it already has something you really want.
This is a bit of a spoiler, but I feel it's important enough to possibly consider for your buying decisions: XV2 doesn't really cover anything in Super significantly besides Zamasu/Goku Black and Uni 6. Tourney of Power is regulated to a small handful of PQs.
I remember Battle of Gods and Res F are featured a little bit in the main story and as PQs, and Uni 6 and Goku Black get bonus campaigns along with PQs, but TOP and the Broly movie are simply PQs.
Not what I would call major story content exactly, but that's just my opinion. If you wanted to get deeply involved in the story, you may feel a bit let down.
That said, if you've played XV1, you should have a pretty good idea of what you're going to get.
Thanks again.
That is pretty much what I expected, it is not ideal, but it is still the best you can get so far.
Maybe if I wait long enough there will even be a more complete DBS game for me to play. It seems waiting is my best option after all. hahaha
