So...Z-Assists?

Female saiyans still have the "more frequent Z-Assists" in the character selection - i have maxed out mentor (beerus) - i didnt get a super soul from him but i did do the pq that gave me before creation come ruin soul - unless there is a specific soul you need to use i was never able to active a z-assist =/

I have never gotten an assist either, I am a saiyan male but still, over 40 level as vegetas pupil and now around 10 as Cells, not 1 assist. I have had them come into battle a few times, so if they changed the assist to that then sure...but never a ultimate boost.

Maybe it has to do with the instructor coming to assist? Or they copied over the text without checking it.

edit: maybe like Orion is right and it affect how ofter they come to help you when you get at 50% hp,

that is something i thought too - which would suck because i liked the extra animation from the first game when i was launching an attack - made every move feel like the Father-Son Kamehameha XD

Yeah it seems like Z assists actually refers to the instructor coming to help you now. I do get assisted by my instructor far more than my friend who has a frieza race character.

To be fair having ultimates deal more damage depending of your instructor was stupid as hell to begin with and I would be fine with that never coming back.

Then why did they leave the saiyan female's text? They changes the friezas, they changed the Buus. Why leave the text for the saiyan female racial bonus if it doesn't exist at all? Pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to take the name of a mechanic from the first game and apply it to another existing mechanic. I still don't think the instructor coming in is a z assist, since it doesn't have the Z Assist accolade on the end screen of a mission, just 'Instructor joined The Fray' if your mentor saved your ass.

Because Bandai has ♥♥♥♥♥♥-ass translators. They're lazy and they can't even translate elementary sentences. They copied ALL the horrible translations from XV1. Literally copypasted it.

Then what, pray tell, exactly do the female saiyans get as a race bonus? I'm fairly certain the males still have that buff to reinforcement skill duration. Do female saiyans just not have a race trait outside of the stronger ki blasts and lower health? That's stupid. It makes no sense for them to not change it since they changed the others.

I aint gonna lie. I miss that cold ass animation of the Z- Assist when doing special beam cannon. It literally looked like instead of doing the special beam cannon normally you literally made a Z with the two fingers before firing the beam.

Because how Z Assist changed in how it functioned but not the name. The text is fine, it's not lying to you. You do get more Z Assists then anyone else.

After killing a match using an evasive skill (Zarbon's kicky thing), I actually got the 'Ultimate Finish with Z-Assist' bonus in the final scorecard. Which is also kind of doubly weird because Zarbon's not my current instructor.

TBH my guess is that they just kind of forgot to cut the stuff about Z-assists (and associated references to it) out properly and certain parts of it accidentally bug back in or something.

Z-Assist was amazing, doing my ultimate and my teacher's spirit helps me. Sometimes I even imagin them as Stand from Jojo's bizzare Aventure
