Won't Recognize Save
I recently downloaded the xenoverse 2 update version 1.14, I have all the DLC installed.
Yet everytime I fire up the game it says:

Dragonball Xenoverse 2 save data could not be found. Do you want to create new save data?

I got so frustrated that I actually created a new save and the new save worked just fine for the rest of the day, however the very next day the same message from before popped up: Dragonball Xenoverse 2 save data could not be found. Do you want to create new save data?

I have created new saves, now twice and they work fine up until the very next day, where the game fails to recognize the save. Does anyone have any suggests to help me fix my problem

Questions:
1: Are you using mods at all that requires you to boot the game without eac?
2: Is steam cloud enabled?
3: is your steam and game running as administrator when in use?

These are the scenarios where i've had the problem.
1. when using offline mods
2. when steam cloud was disable and running the game directly without first going inthrough steam itself
3. when the app doesn't have read/write permissions

One workaround is to maintain a copy of the save outside of the save folder to copy in and out as you make progress. This avoids the save having to be deleted outright though it does involve booting up, dealing with the bug, closing the game, and and then readding the original save and rebooting... I imagine this is a scenario you want to avoid though

I've had to do exactly as you described dealing with the bug closing the game and then re-adding the original save and rebooting. Yes I use mods that require I boot the game without EAC. Hence why I boot directly from the bin folder in steam. Long ago I never had any issues I could boot through the bin and everything was fine... But now its like the game runs perfectly fine with the save for a full day, but once the time passes over to the next day it fails to recognize the save

I think I disabled Steam Cloud, but how do I know for sure? (And should it be disabled?)

Yes I have it disabled

That's the issue then. You need to boot the game with steam first, then exit, and launch the game through bin. Then you can launch that way for the rest of the day, but you'll need to do it daily any time you plan to play using mods like that. That'll prevent the save file from being yanked. I can confirm this because I have the same issue... it's just not that big a deal for me because I normally play vanilla and only occasionally launch for mods
