A guy I know in a mugen forum is making a great mod with music from the other Dragon Ball games. You know, the songs that actually fit a videogame.
1) DB Super, badass songs ? you're high or something ?
2) Original OST fits perfectly, other DB games, just like this one, have terrible OSTs.
The current arc features some incredible good tracks. Black's main theme, Trunks' attack theme, like all songs played in future timeline, the track when Beerus destroys Zamasu and last but not least, Zamasu's theme.
Got a link? :)
All the serious and fighting themes are amazing, pretty much the highlight of the arc.
They do not fit the games, they never did (And with reason, because they were made for anime to begin with). They fit the original DBZ anime perfectly but they definitely never fit the games, even when they're officially included.
Also many DBZ games are ONLY good because of their soundtrack, with their gameplay being, to be blunt, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ even by 90s standards.
He'll release it soon after some beta testing is done. I'm currently testing the songs to give him some feedback (I was the one who told him to include DBZ Extreme Butoden tracks). You'll probably see him create a thread here when that happens, or worst case scenario I'll link to it.
Would be great. I'm looking forward to the mod.^^
Like only one person did that here. Don't overact lol
A stupid opinion would be to praise the US voice acting for the series. Practically the entire world except the USA would rather rip off their ears than tolerate it.
Bruce's music is not bad at all, it's just unfitting as hell to the anime. Notice how North Americans are the only ones who ever defend all the crap that happened with their localized version of DBZ (Extreme censorship, complete overhaul of the music, horrible voice acting in several different dubs, silly name changes) because they simply grew up with it. Hiring a person completely unrelated to the franchise was cheaper than licensing the original music so that's how you ended up with super techno music in a DBZ anime out of all things.
Or is this the part where we ignore criticism with the always handy "If you don't do X you can't criticize it" excuse, right?
Or is this the part where we ignore that the best dubbed version of DBZ EVER in the USA actually comes from a PARODY series out of all things?
I hope you don't criticize this game at all then because you don't program videogames.
I hope you don't criticize the anime because you don't make anime.
I hope you don't criticize the 3D models here because you don't make them yourself.
I hope you don't criticize the forum because you don't create forums.
And the list goes on and on. It's kinda funny that I need a doctorate in music to *dare* to criticize your almighty God Bruce, even though the issue is ultimately not with his music but with how's used. I can't wait to see the anime you're composing music for! Please link us to it when you have the chance!
EDIT: Evasive Skill in use when cornered, -300 stamina, nice!
It's almost like the tastes of cultures can be vastly different there weeb. Why, it's like Americans don't like Japanese music as much as Japanese don't like American music.
Shhhhhhhh

...Not sure if you're with me there or not really.
