Emperor's Death Beam
When you cast the ultimate, is there any way to cancel it in the middle of it? So that I don't use all my Ki?

only if you get knocked out of it at times

Ah. Well damn, was hoping you could cancel. Would certainly like it more that way.
They really need to improve the death beams tracking so it will always track the target when the first shot misses, its bad enough that the gap between the first and second shot is long enough for your opponent to get behind you and break your stamina and if the first shot miss a lot of times you just keep firing at where they were instead of adjusting to where they are.

Or just make it where if the first hit doesn't connect, the ultimate gets cancelled. And if it does make contact, they are put into a long enough hitstun to allow the 2nd hit.

Yeah cancelling it if the first hit misses would be a improvement or maybe make it so you can use a evade move to cancel a ultimate depending on the ultimate.

Or maybe make it so you can manually move it around.

I am using it after a combo where it ends with a knockback. It connect 99% of the time

Using the same tatic and it connects about 80% of the time.

Yeah maybe 99% is too high, but around that. I love that you cant just Ki spam anymore and you need to save your ki for the right moment.

Emperor's death beam is such a great move especially in expert missions.

Yeah. Despite it having low damage efficiency, I adore this move just for how realiable it is. Particularly in a game where despite so may great changes, they really ****ed up tracking and hitboxes a ton.

No joke, even if I hard stamina break my target first (You know, so they are stationart on the ground, stunned, and refilling stamina)... I still have many ultimates just harmlessly pass through them a lot of the time. Even the "reliable" ones like Death ball.

So despite it eating all of your ki. Despite fidding it 6 ki bars only giving me about 2,000 LESS damage than a 3 Bar final flash... I keep putting it back on my skill list, just because of how RELIABLE it is, and no nonsense to connect with, or even have it keep trying to track if the first shot is missed or dodged (Usually. Even Death beam isn't safe from glitching out and firing in a straight line like an idiot).

See also: 4x Kaioken Kameha. 4 Ki bars for less damage than most ults! But easy to use!

Super Ki Explosion! Also super inneficient damage (though you can STOP feeding it extra ki, it does only about as much damage as a 1 bar super if you don't feed it). But it is, again, super reliable (And will even catch people who just teleported behing you usually).

I would love it if this were true, and not people talking out of their ass for the reality that the real difference, is traacking and hitboxes are just plain broken on many moves.

If "LOL, just hard stamina break them first!" didn't result in it still being a coinflip if my ultimates dealt damage, or engulfed my target for zero damage despite them, you know, being hard stamina broken and helpless... then i'd belive the "IT TAKES SKILL NOW!" hype.

Instead of me getting Z rank PQ 100s by basically abandoning bothering to try for most ultimates, or stamina breaks at all in PvE. (I seems to work better in PvP, because players are not as HAX as late game PvE enemies with ramped up recovery times and damage reduction).

Even training dummy Yamcha, it's a coinflip.

EZ homing is bad. Tracking so bad it can miss a starionary target (or have them flop out mid move like all the reports about saiyan pride, etc), also bad.

I've been using just full power energy wave and Emperor's Death Beam since they seems to be the most particle blast ultimates. Energy wave does decent damage with barely leaving you open at all. Death Beam works most of the time, if the first shot hits and your "allies" keep others away.

Did you guys know that GURUS HOUSE IS IN DANGER!
mercureXI Nov 10, 2016 @ 12:08pm
Seriously, the move is one of the easiest one to connect in a combo, you can power up it up by having more ki, and you would also add the possibility to cancel it ?

Hmmm not sure bro :)
