Max is one of the humblest fighting game people in the world. He doesn't care if he loses and he plays the games to make things look flashy and to do as he says "Cool ♥♥♥♥" infront of an audience. He is hype for this game because a few weeks before it was released, he discovered Hyper DBZ. He isn't even a DBZ fan but he enjoys the game.
As for who cares what he has to say? Probably somewhere around the 14million people who follow him. The multiple million that watch him. The thousands that watch him stream every night except mondays. The multiple people who commented on Rhyme and Afro's videos "You were too loud in max's video." but I dunno, could be wrong.
When it comes down to breaking down mechanics however? Him and his friends are quite good at it and they are friends with some of the best players in the world. So, if I had to choose someone to listen to? I'd listen to him far before I listened to you.
You posted a video of a rage quitter getting a win?
Who Afro?
I love how you guys are linking an older video of him fighting and none of the newer ones. The guy is generally quite good at fighting games and has rather good reaction times and reflexes, both of which are key components to being good at fighting games. Also, like I said, he is a very humble player, whether he was years ago is completely irrelevant. I only care about the here and now, but I've been watching him for years? Sooo, so what?
The point is I trust the guy to break down mechanics as he does with just about every fighting game that has come out. He plays a mean robin for instance in Injustice 2 and that is saying something considering Robin needs a lot of fancy moves to be viable. I like Rhyme, I like Afro, but those two are not fighting game players. The thing is though, is watching them, you can see just how simplistic the control system actually is because they picked it up FAST, really fast and did things just as quickly.
Like I said, is the MVC idea bad? No, it isn't. It's a good idea, but I just have a feeling the game will disappoint people more than wow them because so far imo the only thing the game has going for it that keeps me captivated is the graphics.
again its not bad, but its not great, and neither mechanics atm look to me that detail and open to be competitive ready
I watched the gameplay, and honestly, it looks like Guilty Gear X Marvel but better. It definitely looks fun and hype and I'm going to buy it when I get the chance.
As for the competitive scene, I need to get my hands on it to see. It seems semi-casual when I analyze it and I hope to god it isn't. I hope there's just as much depth in compared to BB or GG. I want to see this at ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ EVO.
The problem with this is the audience target isn't your normal fighting game fans. With it being DBZ and not BB or GG, they have to stay within the audience that appreciates the anime/manga and sadly, the last few years it has been catered to kids. I hate saying that, I do, but Kai and super are for the younger audience. This game from what I've seen from a control aspect will be focused around that HOWEVER, there will be people that master it and do things casual players cannot do and that is what will make it a fun fighting game. Will we see it at evo? Possibly, but I wouldn't bet on it.
but people will feel the need to make useless comparisons and pointless whinge as per usual.
Looks like it'll be great, though.
Ah yes, the infamous Utmost wicked returns. Yet you still don't show the fight of beerus vs piccollo, it's fine though but meh, I am not here to fight you. You have these mental issues that I just can't put my finger on or help with, personally, I don't even know how you're still around on the forums, but meh. Not really my concern is it?
Anyways, the thread is about the new game, which I can only hope you won't be there, but we already know the answer to that. You should leave your means of making multiple accounts and arguing with yourself in the past though. It gets kind of sad.
