Is the custom character in Xenoverse 2 meant to be the same as 1?
if so, i'll just recreate my Xenoverse 1 character with a visual update to their apperance, if not i'll create a new hero if my previous character is just referenced or something

No the character from the first is a story NPC at times and also appears as a hologram statue during the events of the storyline.

When you finish the Raditz section of the story you get the option to carry over data. You get all the items/skills that character has with a couple of exceptions.

Remaking your orginal CAC might make the story a bit awkward, but who cares about the main story.

Yeah thanks. Just seen this in a Cow Chop video. Alrighty. New hero it is when I get the game. I hope my data is still there.. like it saved on a cloud or something, cause i had to reformat my PC recently.

Or the first character was pulled from a later time period, and the second character was their younger self.

I'd recommend recreating your XV1 character if you're really attached, and importing a character from XV1 you don't really care about. Might want to go back and change their skills and equipment before importing them, since that's what gets carried over, as well as some money and TP medals which shouldn't depend on which character you decide to import.

If you reformatted your computer, you may need to reinstall XV1 to pull the data from the Steam cloud.

A hint here, once you get the data, go to XV 1 and pick equipment and skills you want to first use in XV2. if your XV1 has any transformations in his skils list, remove those and switch them with other Ultimates(Perfect Kamehameha is a good alternative), since transformations cannot be transferred. Also, most Whis and Bardock skills cannot be transferred either.

Do all this before ever starting up XV2 or the data will transfer as is.
