Deleted files w/o backup
So, I was modding XV2, and I accidentally deleted some files for hair, but I don't have a backup saved. Is there any way I can get these files back? Or does anyone have a backup of the vanilla game I can use to start over? :steamsalty:

you can just delete the data folder and start over that way. you didn't delete any of the CPK internal files witch is the vanilla game. all you have to do is delete the data folder with all your mods and start over if you want to start over. although there is a way to extract the vanilla game hair if that is what you deleted. you can use a CPKpack program that unpacks the game CPK and you can get all the vanilla files that way. BUT that takes a long time. If your willing to start over just delete the data folder and start the installer again.

The data folder is in ProgramFiles (x86), or the SteamLibrary Folder?

in your xenoverse 2 directory

Okay, did everything and attempted to use the xv2ins on the "DBXV2.exe" file but it gave me the following errors:

Ok, what you can do is go to steam and right click Dragon Ball xenoverse 2. click on local files and click on "verify integrity of game files" that this does is restore any vanilla game files you may have deleted. after that try modding again.

you can find the vanilla folder for the chara folder in one of the deta.cpk files, located in the cpk folder. To open the cpk and find what you need you can use CPK browser. here is the link https://xenoversemods.com/mods/cpk-browser-view-and-extract-files/
