Dragonball Xenoverse 2 Unknown file version (cpk\data1.cpk) Error/Crash
Hey everyone! I just tried to play DBX2, and I can't get past the title screen without getting the error mentioned in the discussion topic. It gives me the option to press OK; when I do, the game closes and I end up back at my desktop.

I was able to play the game a couple of months ago with no issues. The only recent change I've had to my computer is updating my graphics card (a much needed update from a GeForce 645 to a GTX 1060), so I'm not sure if the error is related to that? This was my first attempt to play DBX2 on the new card.

Has anyone else had this issue? If so, any ideas on what might be causing it and/or how to fix it?

i think i remember getting this. Did you have the patcher or installer files in your folder? seems like you have an unknown cpk in your file which usually happens when the game tries starting normally with the mod patcher or installer files. i would try deleting all files from the mod installer and patcher, then verifying the files for the game. this will reacquire all the vanilla files.

You can't play online with mods, either make Steam Verify the Integrity of the Files to recover them, or launch the game through DBXV2.exe in the bin folder.

I have never modded XV2. I even purchased Windows 10 since I was running on windows 7 Home SP1. reinstalled the base game once more and still got the bug. I fixed my game by redownloading the base game with no DLC checked and enabled them one by one. I also ran the easy anti cheat repair and ran the certificate generator in the game files.

Hey everyone. I've never modded XV2, but I tried uninstalling the game. After a fresh re-install, it seems to be working fine now. Not sure what the issue was. Thanks for all the comments though, my apologies for a late reply on my part.
