When did they change his name from Majin Vegeta to this? And why? I'm not complaining. Just curious. lol

Because it's what Majin Vegeta was actually called in Japan when he was "Majinized" by Babidi. I think the monicker of Majin Vegeta came around because of the whole ")V(" mark being tantamount to being a majin (see Dabura, Yakon, Pui Pui, etc). Yet the only actual "Majin" in this case was Buu.

See also from Dragon ball Heroes, the "Destruction Kings"- A ton of the movie villains being similarly "Majinized" but they weren't called, say, Majin Turles, Majin 13, Majin Garlic Jr, etc. They were called Destruction King (Villain).

So that's probably the whole deal.
