Best Super Soul?
All google provides is info that is a year old for me. Is "Before Creation comes Ruin" still considered the best?

"Best" super soul depends on what kind of build you're running. You'd get a better answer if you told us what kind of character you're currently playing as. Which race/sex/abilities/etc.?

"Before Creation..." Is the strongest for ki blast users in terms of numbers and speed in which it triggers. "You are just pieces in the game" is the strike supers version, and "give your father a message from me" is the kinda borked basic attack version (it takes much longer to trigger)

But there are several souls for different applications. Another very good one is "I hate what I've become". It weakens you for the first 30 seconds of the match, then restores you and gives you an all around L to all attacks.

If you want a ki regen setup, "getting beat up makes me cranky" and "I'll kill you with all my strength" aren't bad alternatives. Fu's soul "let's begin the experiment" is good but only if you are able to maintain your HP above 75%.

Then there's Old kai's soul for when you need HP regen. This one coupled with an awoken of your choice and the new Meditation skill makes keeping up your HP high for long periods of time.

THEN, there are all those super saiyan exclusive souls. Cabba's 'i'll make you regret that" and SSJ3 are a match made in Heaven. Super vegeta users can load "I am Super vegeta" to give an instant L to their ki blasts without having to wait, though at least for PQs, 30 seconds is nothing.

See. There are a lot of builds and situations, so there's really no overall "best" soul.

Depends what your build is.

'Before Creation Comes Ruin' is one of the best for ki blast, as it boosts ki blast supers and ults by the largest amount once 30 seconds have past.

'You're All Pieces in a Game' is one of the best for strike, as it boosts strike supers and ults by the largest amount once 30 seconds have past.

'Give your Father a Message for Me' is one of the best for basic attacks, as it boosts basic atacks by the largest amount once a minute and a half have past (check me on that).

'The Ultimate Power Is Mine!' is great for any build, as it boosts ki blast supers/ults, strike supers/ults, and basic attacks by a medium amount (no waiting).

'I'll Make Good Use of You' is great for any build, as it boosts ki blast supers/ults, strike supers/ults, and basic attacks by the maximum amount after a minute and a half have past (check me on that). But it reduces your stamina and ki recovery rate substantially.

There are other super souls, but these are probably some of the best in the game to conisder for any and all builds.

My main, currently, is a Male Saiyan...who is currently Ki, but I plan to change to melee after I unlock my last two charcters with DBs. I plan on a female saiyan next...which will be KI based.

Haven't thought of other builds after that.

Male saiyans specialize in punching. You'll want 75 in basic attack (any more and you'll suffer from disgusting diminishing returns). In any fight with lots of enemies, use "Saiyans are a Warrior Race" which gives you a melee boost, every time an enemy dies. In fights with few enemies, bring something along like Fuu's "Let the Experiments Begin" which help counter the ki building penalties from Super Saiyan transformations. If you take Divinity Unleashed in place of Maximum charge, the buff from that will also eliminate the SSJ ki penalty, and allow you to take one of the souls that increase damage. Remember that there are a few souls that have Limit Bursts that double the power of some ultimate attacks. Make sure to take LBs into account when making the decision. Good luck.

While you can make every race/gender combination work decently with any kind of proper build, male saiyans do benefit most from basic attack builds, as that is their forte. You will also love the ki blast damage a female saiyan can do when maxed.

All videos I watched regarding Basic Attack was that maxed was the way to go....so I can really save that many skill points and place them in (HP i guess???)

Here's an idea of how bad the returns are. At 75 points on my male human (no transformation), I did 2690 damage on my basic attack string. With 125 points into attack, that exact same string does 2851. You're getting very, very little damage for 50 attribute points, which is a lot of points to throw away. Invest those points into stamina or something. I tested this extensively and wasted lots of dragon balls in the attempt. The diminishing returns are real.

I already have Stam maxed...and KI isn't as useful as health?

The train of thought is that Basic Attacks are used the most...so points in that are the most beneficial.

Basic attacks are used the most, but you're getting almost the same damage at 75 that you would be at 125. Both kinds of supers also suffer from diminishing returns, but they don't cross that line until much later, at 120 points.

Also worth noting is that female saiyans benefit from the full 125 in basic attack because their natural basic attack modifier is significantly lower than everyone else's. Low enough that the full 125 shouldn't cause them to cross the diminishing return threshold. Male Saiyans, however, are the best punchers in the game, so they will definitely hit the diminishing returns. Do beware!

Thanks! I will try a 75 Basic, 120 Super Strike, 125 Stam, and tinker with 55 in HP and KI (balancing a full ki bar with the rest in HP vs all HP)

Ki is tricky because you want an exact amount so you only have full bars, but your clothing/QQB can also influence ki, meaning you might have a partial bar before ever putting in a single point. If the amount of ki on your clothes/QQB isn't a flat zero, then you'll have to play around a bit to get the exact number of ki you want to finish with only full bars.

Meditation is a super that gives you a huge auto-regen to ki, and also increases your max ki to 10 full bars, no matter what it would normally be. If you use meditation, you can put zero points into ki, and go -5 ki on your clothes/QQB, while still having the full benefit of 10 bars. Whether or not this meditation strategy works for you, depends on your build and preferences. Some people do find it tedious, but I abolsutely love it on my striking female majin.

I see, I was planning on Meditation + Divinity...so I will leave Ki alone then.

Don't use meditation together with divnity unleashed. Basically, funny things often happen when you use two reinforcement buffs at the same time. In the case of meditation + divinity, having them both causes meditation to only last like 20 seconds when it usually lasts for 60. If you're using meditation, pair it with maximum charge.

Videos I watched had Meditation work for 30 secs with Divinity. It offset SSGSS and allowed for great KI gains...maybe they patched that?
