Truly Hellish Transformation
So I am finding this just as hard as Extreme Malice. I poison...I nuke...but when Janemba decides to mind control, he controls all but one EVERY time. Then the AI is too dumb to know how to knock anyone free of mind control. I come back and either get mind controlled again (now everyone is for auto-loss) or the odds are so stacked I cannot recover...

Anyone have any tips that has experienced this? Yes, I have googled and watched videos that do not seem to help much, and they are over a year old.

Just stay back and launch destructo disc or supernova cooler that way you dont get mind controlled and can just punch everyone free

Oh, I didn't realize the mind control was distance oriented. Will try that tomorrow.

It's not about distance actually...

You can simply sidestep / step vanish away from Janemba's Mind Control bubbles. Then you get the chance to free 2 or 3 NPCs as well, since Janemba is locked in Mind Control's animation for a while.

Do not get caught in Mind Control... Might sound weird, but that's literally all you have to worry about.

so the thing is, i try this strategy and it seems no matter what, no matter where i am, he will always mind controls me, no matter what, the range on it seems to be unlimited, and since im so far away, i can never tell when he does it, so just like that, round over...

MC has a distinct sound and visual change to the battlefield you'll see moments before the move goes off. Strafing around him generally helps me avoids being hit, but also I noticed MC comes out in certain patterns some times from him, so you can also be out of the way of the blast. Doing this I can evade MC like 90 percent of the time.

In addition the MC seems to only trigger at certain levels of health. It'll look like he does it a lot if you're burning his health down quickly, but it's like once a health bar or so. This part applies to other boss moves, like Peeler Storm, as well. At least that's what I observe.

However, it also means you basically have to babysit your team when going with AIs. You can't get in there and mix it up because you need to maintain a good distance. You have to be very sparing with any moves that don't fire instantly. As soon as MC goes off, you gotta switch targets to a trapped team mate, rush over and smack 'em, and switch again until you get them all and doing this to get everyone in time can demand some serious precision with no room for error.

At best I've freed like 3 people doing this. I can't get them all unless someone helps me. Once in a awhile, someone does, believe it or not. When someone else is MCed, you want to focus on them and burn them down quickly. Try not to damage the boss too much during this time because the last thing you need is him firing off MC again while you're fighting teammates.

You'll also want a build specific for keeping your team as healed as possible because let's face it, the AI is dumb as bricks and needs all the help they can get.

And even if you follow all this, whether or not you get MCed or wiped still contains a degree of luck that can still doom you if the dice don't go your way.

You can also instead of trying to hit all the computers indiviually you can use somethign like angry shout or god of destructions roar to break them all out if they are close enough to each other :D

Mind Control targets in a couple of ways, though I am unsure exactly how it determines which method. It can come out in an AoE horizontal "cone", being easily avoided by keeping your distance and being at a different height. It can also come out as a targetted effect, which can be avoided by moving unpredicatably. Generally speaking the safest way to avoid it whilst still doing reliable damage is with quick ranged attacks, such as Destructo Disc and Perfect Shot. If you want to throw an ultimate, you should wait until after a Mind Control is used (as it is very unlikely that they throw out two in a row).

My skill load-out was Innocence Bullet, Feint Crash, Meditation, Ultimate Charge, Energy Zone, Emperor's Death Beam, Super Vegeta & Vanisher Guard. My equipment load out was a QQ Bang level 3, Before Creation Comes Ruin... & the Time Patroller Battle Suit.

I noticed that whenever Janemba knocks out an NPC that everyone will fight over reviving the unconscious NPC & Janemba will never pull the mind control move during one of these NPC revival fights. Janemba only appears to use the mind control skill whenever he's surrounded by active NPCs swarming him.

Using this to my advantage, I never had to bother with Vanisher Guard, Feint Crash, Energy Zone & only sparingly used Meditation to boost my Ki limit. I was able to strip down Janemba's armor with Innocence Bullet & continued hammering him with Emperor's Death Beam without using Meditation to boost my Ki limit; just in case he used mind control so I could dodge & Feint Crash all the friendly NPCs.

I should also note that on a previous playthrough that I had used Instant Transmission to dodge Janemba's mind control & used a guard break on him to no effect, he just bodied a move that should have shaved off all of his stamina & broke his Ultimate. Keep that in mind.
