Super Saiyan God Skill Build?
Does anyone know a good build for the Super Saiyan God Skill? The ki drain is quite a drawback, and I'm wondering if anyone knows a counter for it.

Assuming you mean the Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan awoken skill, or SSGSS...

Meditation counters the ki drain, if you can use it (takes 2 seconds to trigger) and keep it up (lasts for 60 seconds at a time, but the duration is refreshed upon using it again).
Super Buu's "I'm Stronger Than Ever Now!" Super Soul also counters the ki drain, and even gives you a very small amount of ki regen, but you need to be at full stamina. Fortunately, SSGSS considerably speeds up your stamina regen while on the ground.
Fu's Super Soul also gives you ki regen comparable to Super Buu's SS, but you need to be at 75% or more HP.
Divinity Unleashed, if you can trigger its effect, gives you large amounts of ki when you attack. However, its duration is short, and you need to charge 100 ki (one full bar) for it to trigger.

All in all, the general consensus is that if you can't keep your ki up, the best thing you can do is use another awoken skill like Super Saiyan or Super Vegeta, depending on your build.

Meditation+Divinity Unleashed, Fu's Super Soul, Hyper/Super Drain.

Divinity Unleashed is by far the best option, but you need to reapply it every certain amount of time.
Meditation also helps and lasts more, but it's best used before Divinity Unleashed.
Some people use Buu (Gohan absorbed)'s super soul "I'm stronger than ever now!". It auto-regenerates ki at a rate that effectively negates SSB's ki drain, but only when you have full stamina.

I make do with DU and a max ki at around 7-8 bars.

There are various ways to use SSB. The methods mentioned in previous posts are ways to keep ki more or less automatically. Now, SSB and ki blast builds are a bit more difficult to use because the build itself is ki hungry. Basic attackers benefit the most from SSB, as their attacking grants them a way to somewhat counter the ki drain, and this is without even tossing souls or reinforcement moves into the mix.

The most basic SSB combo I have used is to charge a single ki bar through Divinity Unleashed, then continue attacking normally. Now, Meditation is another good skill because not only does it give you more ki bars, it also grants auto ki regen. Paired with a soul that also gives ki regen, you will be obtaining ki at a really good rate, even when transformed.

Offensively, the rest of the build is pretty much the same as that of either a ki blaster saiyan or a melee saiyan. SSB gives an equal boost to all attacks, after all. Again, do note that unless you use a lot of basic attacking in between, a ki blaster build may be more ki hungry. On the other side, of note is that SSB can't use Power Rush. Your transformation reverts the moment that skill is started. It's not even a case of it ending after the skill. It drops you to base form after the first rush hit. To use SSB with Power rush you need super Vegeto's Soul that grants pretty much max and infinite ki for a few seconds once per fight when transforming. And that means you are sacrificing the soul for only that purpose. But I suppose it works for quick 1v1 fights.

As for souls, it depends on how you want to do your ki upkeep. You can either use your favorite super saiyan soul, or whatever you have been using before, or dedicate the soul to ki upkeep. My personal favorite for ki upkeep is Android 17's "Getting beat up makes me cranky" You get permanent ki regen and an L increase to ki blast supers when at max stamina. If you can keep your ki from dropping without needing a soul, you can choose from the current super saiyan exclusive souls depending on your attack type.

Do note that SSB increases the damage you take, and that's not good for saiyans who are already glass cannons. So mind the damage you are taking. Mostly if you were used to SSJ3s damage reduction.

This is really helpful, thank you! Could I also get a character stat reccomendation for this build? I'm playing as a female saiyan who heavily uses basic attacks/combos and super/ultimate ki attacks. I'm at level 90, current have 30 health, 30 ki, 42 stamina, 125 basic attack, and 125 ki attack

This is really detailed and helpful, thanks! I had actually tried Android 17's "Getting beat up makes me cranky", but with my ki super/ultimate user character, this wasn't the best. I'm thinking of using this on another build that has more health, ki, stamina, and basic attack focus, rather than focus on super/ultimate attacks.

If you want max damage from your ki blasting, then use beerus soul and a max ki blast qq bang. Now, you will need Meditation and/or Divinity Unleashed even more in that setup. Since you use basic attacks, I feel DU may be the better of the two for you.

That sounds perfect, thanks! Also, what kind of stats would you reccomend for that setup? currently I have 30 health, 30 ki, 42 stamina, 125 basic attack, and 125 ki attack.

If you feel you are hurting for points somewhere else, do know that there are soft caps in this game. Female saiyan is good at ki supers already, so she hits her soft cap earlier than other races in that stat. If I remember correctly, a fe-saiyan's soft cap for ki supers should be somewhere around 90 points. It does not mean she won't keep getting power in that stat, but every point invested on it from then on will give less power. So you shouldn't feel that much of a difference with 100 or 125 in that stat. Now, if you want to squeeze every ounce of a certain stat, do max it.

On the other side, fe-saiyan is the worst at basic attack in terms of racial multipliers, so her soft cap for that stat is higher. So if you are really interested in basic attacking as a fe-saiyan, going somewhere next to max (or plain max) basic attack is a good idea.

Since your saiyan uses ki blast and basic, I assume you made her medium weight? You could make her max weight and you will still do stupid high damage with ki blasts, plus you will further buff her basic attacking, so long as you can get a qq bang that doesn't nerf basic and ki supers.

As for stamina, I believe 42 is good. That's what I use on my own striker. Gives 6 bars at max level which is enough for two consecutive evasive skills. Ki in your case is a matter of preference. Go for either 42 or 84 if you have 0 in your qq bang. Though if you want to really implement Meditation into your build, you can drop the stat to zero and get your ki through that skill.

Lastly, if you end up with remaining points, toss them in HP. Fe-saiyans need more HP, considering they have too little of it to begin with. Unless you have mastered defense and evasion, on which HP becomes a less important stat.

So I'm looking at about 90 ki blast, 125 basic, 42 stamina, 80 ki, and more than 30 HP then. That sounds pretty promising, thanks.

Really the transformation is best suited for those who can keep combos going whilst just-guarding any attacks if you mess up, until the opponent goes into kill range. You should try your best to not go for supers or ultimates until you know you can end it. However if push comes to shove, Divinity Unleashed is very effective at keeping your Ki topped off.
Majin Mew Mar 11, 2018 @ 3:19am
Do you specifically want to use SSGSS or are you simply looking for the best overall build?

Because SSGSS along with the necessary means of keeping up your Ki is very often (I'd say almost always) subpar to regular SS3 or SV2 builds and ends up having lower DPS, less versatility etc.
Null_User Mar 11, 2018 @ 10:45am
In his case, he'd need to rely more on basic attacks to keep that ki up. Toss a meditation when kicking back the enemy, and continue filling ki until he can find an opening to dish some serious damage. Also, even though it may sound counter productive, people shouldn't fear doing part of the fight in base form. Mostly when bringing SSB since that form makes you take more damage.
