Untrusted System File xinput

The error message:
The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application.
Untrusted system file (game location\bin\xinput1_3.dll).

I only had one mod installed. Everything has been running fine for months but recently the game has started giving the error code of an untrusted system file and only starts when xinput is removed. This stops the mod from working.

What I've tried or already done:
Removed EasyAntiCheat x64
Replaced EasyAntiCheat x64
Verified game integrity
Fresh install
Reinstalling XV2Patcher and XV2 installer using the latest versions
Used dinput8 provided by XV2Patcher as an alternative to xinput

The game seems to only start when I remove xinput and disable the mods. Has anyone found a way to fix this?

Of course it's the final thing I try only AFTER posting this.
Running the .exe from the bin folder allows the game to start up. Doesn't require running as an admin. If anyone finds a way to start the game from Steam instead of the folder, please share.

EDIT: re-reading your post, you do use mods. So yeah, EAC is designed to prevent the game from even starting up if you have stuff like xvpatcher around. So start from dbxv2 exe directly always. You will be limited to offline as long as you use those mods.

I'm also getting this error, and I've never even used mods on this game... tried to reinstall, still doesn't work... I'd very much like to play online T-T

I run DBXV.exe directly from the bin file in offline mode. It has worked for me up until today. EAC now prevents me from opening Xenoverse 2, regardless of how I tried to open it.

Somebody needs to make a bypass mod to trick EAC with or just straight up figure out how to kill it.

I get that I can open it using the. Exe file and it works offline as long as I have the mods, is there a way I could disable the mods easily so that I could switch to multiplayer faster?

Move xinput1_3.dll out of the bin file and your mods should instantly be disabled.

Open the file named "bin" and you should see a file that simply says DBXV2. Run that.

this mostly happens when you have a program running on your computer that anti-cheat doesn't like. otherwise xinput is the controllers (game pads, joysticks).
