SSGSS (Super Saiyan Blue) for CaCs - Information Thread
Listed below are all the details one might want regarding this highly anticipated transformation. This includes percentage buffs to strike and/or ki damage, speed/stamina modifications, any other quirks it might give, drawbacks, etc.

This is not a salt thread because someone bodied you with it in PvP or you're a non-saiyan and can't use it. This is just a thread listing what exactly this transformation does.

Any and all worthwhile contributions are welcome should anyone have any additional information, :)

-

HOW TO OBTAIN: Only saiyan CaCs can equip the skill, but characters of any race can acquire it. Simply speak to Whis once you're at least level 90 and are at max friendship with him.

BASIC DESCRIPTION: You need at least 5 bars of ki in order to go Super Saiyan Blue. The in-game description states the following -

'Transform into a Super Saiyan shrouded in divine energy! This form gives you a massive power-up, but also gradually drains your Ki!'

EFFECTS: Whilst in Super Saiyan Blue, the following effects apply -

Positives:
>All damage is increased by 25%.
>As with the regular Super Saiyan transformations, if you fully charge a chargeable super attack, you will warp to your opponent's location just as the attack is fired.
>Your stamina recovers more quickly. [exact value unknown but it's approximately 25% faster]
>Your movement speed is increased. [exact value unknown]

Negatives:
>Your ki gradually drains at a rate of 1 bar every 8 seconds.
>Your natural ki generation is severely reduced to the point where it's barely able to halt the aforementioned drain. However, charge skills such as Maximum Charge, and any other effects that affect your ki generation such as from Super Souls or the buff from Divinity Unleashed work as normal.
>When your ki is fully depleted, you (seamlessly) revert back to your base form.
>You take a small amount more damage. [exact value unknown]

-

Shoutouts go to Wol., Abradolf Linkler, iamcorn, Shiverwar, Erenussocrates, and Hanuke for their contributions, as well as Justx and Super saiyan Cabby28 on YouTube!

No, you dont. You just talk to him and he will say something like you have some aura inside and give you the awakening skill immediately.

I always picked Whis as my mentor and I am at level 99. I maxed out his friendship though I haven't completed his final mentor mission. Now I got the skill. Proof:

Though I am playing on Nintendo Switch...too pity I cant do the test but yeah, it's a far better console platform with no cheater..

OK, here is the description:

"Transform into a Super Saiyan Shrouded in a divine energy! This form gives you a massive power-up, but also gradually drains your Ki!"

Edit: I am going to test it out in PQ and see what is going to happen:)

I saw you post in another thread and was hoping you'd post here. You may not be able to datamine or anything like that, but is there anything you can tell us at all about what it seems to do? :)

A few basic questions:

1) When your ki is fully depleted, do you drop out of the transformation? If so, do you suffer any ill effects such as a stamina break when this happens?

2) Do you still gain ki through using normal attacks?

3) Can you still use charge skills (eg. Maximum Charge) to regain your ki?
Abradolf Linkler Feb 26, 2018 @ 12:45am
You do drop out when Ki is depleted, and it depletes "fast as hell"

You don't seem to gain ki from normal attacks unless you use the divine charge.

You can still use charge skills.

For the drawbacks the power increase over ss3 seems negligable...I couldn't even tell there was an increase to be honest.

From my playing around with it

1) yes the regression from the form is pretty seemless, but any detriments are not obvious to me.

2) Yes albiet akin to SS3ish gains (Divinity Unleashed also counters this)

3) yes.

Added all this info to the OP! If anyone would be willing to go into training mode and get some damage numbers that'd be great! I could do with the following:

- Basic strike combo in normal form, then the same combo in SSGSS.
- Strike super/ultimate in normal form, then again in SSGSS.
- Ki super in normal form, then again in SSGSS.

Thanks guys!

Just added one of the modifiers (ki ultimates) based on a YouTube video I found. All the video showcased was Perfect Kamehameha, but it's a start!

OK, i test it out in training mode.

The Ki draining is about 8 seconds 1 bar (pretty fast). You could stop it from draining when performing normal attacks but you almost receive no ki recovery per hit. You could charge up your ki with maximum charge and with help of z-soul like "I hope you reborn as good..."
If ki is fully depleted, there is no negative effect at all like stamina break.

Below are some damage testing with my ki blast build female Super Saiyan (+125 ki blast + 0 Strike Super +0 Basic Attack; QQ Bang: +5 Ki Super; -5 Strike Supers; 0 Basic Attack)

1. Ki Blast Super (Big Bang Kamehameha) -
SSGSS : 8250 damage
SV2: 7755
No transformation: 6600

- about 6.38% boost from SV2;
- 25% boost from no transformation

2. One same set Basic Attack (all squares)
SSGSS: 4298;
SS3: 4127;
No transformation : 3438

- about 4.14 % boost from SS3
- about 25% boost from no transformation

3. Strike Super (Justice Combination) -
SSGSS: 7591
SS3: 7289;
No transformation: 6074

- about 4.14 %boost from SS3
- about 24.975% boost from No transformation

Nice work! I think it's safe to say SSGSS is simply a flat 25% increase to all damage dealt.

Yep, it's pretty OP I would say. Definitely going to use it to do all the PQs / Expert Mission. Seems it will render Super Saiyan and Super Vegeta Transformation useless...just like in the animation itself....

Of course, it may not be that useful in PvP environment...
Paradigm Feb 26, 2018 @ 1:15am
I'd love to know what its damage reduction is like compared to the other Super Saiyan forms, but I feel that will be very difficult to tell accurately without datamining. Same goes for whatever effects it may have on your stamina.

Do you still warp to the opponent's location if you fully charge a charged skill such as the regular Kamehameha?

Yes, you do. I tested it out myself.
