Switch Pro Controller Support
The game is on sale and I already have the game on PS4, but I want to move over to PC for mods.

My DS4 won't work on PC XV2 according to a few forum posts but I have a PowerA wired Switch Pro and was wondering if that could work instead?

DS4 works, I use my DS4 controller. Power A switch controller is not supported.

I've looked around on the forum and apparently newer DS4 models (the one's that come with the PS4 Slim, and one's sold standalone) either don't work or have an issue with the analog sticks always moving down in-game.

I have the newer model, unless this issue has been patched or there is a fix?
If it is an official Sony Manufactured PS4 controller (not 3rd party) it will work fine. I JUST bought mine a few weeks ago and it works perfectly. No fix needed.just plug it in, let the drivers install and it's rdy to go.

a switch pro controller will work if you start up the game in big picture mode. you just have to configure it properly the first time.

alot of games already support the use of a Playstation 4 controller, but you can download DS4Windows, which will allow you to use a dualshock 4 controller on pretty much every game, it's what i use, also if your pc is bluetooth, you can connect the controller to your pc wirelessly
hope this helps man

I use the PowerA Switch Pro Controller that's designed to look like a GameCube controller and it works perfectly.

No one should be using DS4Windows anymore.
Steam has had support for DS4 controllers for years now, and it's better and easier to configure in many ways, not to mention the community profile sharing.

That said OP, you can use Steam's controller support to make any controller work. If it doesn't recognize your Switch Pro controller for what it is, you can enable generic gamepad support and set it up that way. In the end it will tell the game you are using a 360 controller and everything will be fine.
Power A is a 3rd party brand that is not supported by steam. I tried using the Breath of the Wild Edition on my PC and the right stick does not work.

I have played other Steam games with my Switch controller and it works fine. Steam detects it as a Switch controller, unless you mean something else?
It wont work with XV2 I'm almost 100% sure

Tested it out, both controllers work actually. DS4 has PS4 button prompts and Switch Pro has XB1 button prompts. Thanks for the help, everyone. I really appreciate it. :steamhappy:
