Performance Issues
So basically out of the blue my games FPS has just dropped for an average of 144fps to at most 47fps. The game worked just fine before the last few days. I've tried messing with the video settings, putting it all on the lowest it could go, nothing. I've tried reinstalling the game/verifying the game cache, nothing. I've reinstalled my video drivers, nothing.

If anyone can help me find a solution or at least an explanation for whats going on I'd appreciate it.

Edit: Tried the game on my laptop, the game runs at a constant 60fps. On older hardware. So I'm thinking that a recent update caused issues with my desktop? Probably gonna have to wait till the next patch to see if it fixes the issues.

My Specs in case anyone asks:

CPU i5-8400

GPU RTX 2080

RAM 16GB

I got a different problem.
My game suddenly crashed after using Baby Vegetas Final Flash on my CAC. That never happend before and I have +600 hours play time. Like you said, out of the blue. I am pretty sure they made a performance update which did the opposite of what they wanted...

Seems like a lot of people suddenly have performace problems now.

I'd hope that this is just a simple issue that just requires an update to fix. Guess I'll just have to wait and see for now.

Its probably another EAC update xD goes wrong many times , bassicly i expect it to be fixed within a few days (that is if the game hasnt had an update in the past few days , cus the EAC doesnt update through the game)
@General Jelly Jiggler Your issue may be a hardware issue.
Dust out your PC. Your CPU is probably overheating due to lack of airfow from dust.
You also have a 25% Bottleneck from you CPU being weak for your GPU. (are you OCing?)
Is your GPU Dusted out? Is your CPU Watercooled? Do you even lift? got any background programs that need to be turned off? Dude where's my car?

My frames were dropping, I turned off depth of field I'm pretty sure and all is well. Running at a solid 75 fps with no drops. Your specs shouldn't be an issue, but like Grandmaster Xen said, overheating could cause these issues also. When did you last clean your PC?

My performance issue is exclusive to xenoverse 2. Pc is clean, and no, an i5-8400 does not bottleneck my gpu at all.

PC is clean. Problems are exclusive to Xenoverse 2 only, every other game runs just fine.

you have a better computer than mine , i have i7-7700 and gtx 1080 ti and 16 gb of ram.

try to check if your hyper threading is on i know it sound stupid but its worth a check. also make sure your power plan is at performance and check if your ram settings are ok in the bios like turbo mode and AI overclock.

i run the game a 144 hz with everything max out and no issue at all. but i really suggest locking your fps at 72 with nvidia inspector cause this pc port have huge combo drop issues with higher fps and lower fps than 72

Statistically your PC IS Bottlenecked but just not enough for you to realize. Other than that, might want to do a clean install. Uninstall EAC and XV2 and pray.

Unfortunately already wiped the game and reinstalled and nothing seems to change about the performance. I can't imagine my hardware is the issue at all in this case, especially considering I can run far more demanding games just fine. Maybe I'm just SOL until the next patch.

I have a slightly better CPU but an inferior GPU I also have a 60hz monitor and I stay at a constant 60-63fps. so I have no idea what could be wrong
Bumping this with new info: For whatever reason the frame rate issue on my desktop occurs only when the server is online, if the server is down for whatever reason then my frame rate is back to normal. I have literally no idea what could be causing this issue so if anyone else has an idea then that would be appreciated.

No wonder mine was having performance issues considering that mine usually runs fast without any lag then noticing it today that it only runs bit slow like it dropped fps or something.
