Evil Blast is easy to set up, basically guaranteed to hit and has way more damage.
SSDB Tracks, but with basically no damage.
And since I need to Stam Break as a setup anyway, I might as well take Shocking Death Ball or Minus Energy Power Ball.
Evil Blast is 100% useless during a stamina break. It's also easily predictable for any semi-decent opponent, i.e. anyone who knows what scouting is. It's counterable by any kind of Evasive + you can tech-roll out of it under certain circumstances. It's restricted to countering melee attacks and also deals less damage, so it's basically a less efficient, worse version of Reverse Mabakusenko.
S.S. Deadly Bomber on the other hand has probably the best tracking of all Ultimates in the game. It's easily usable after tons of combos strings or other skills. It's also 99% non-punishable, because even if your opponent guard-breaks you using reverse burst dash, he will get hit and caught in the skill until you can start step vanishing while being broken (in the worst case).
Really don't see how anyone could rate Evil Blast higher than Bomber.
(btw. didnt know that evasives were useless against a move just because it tracks. jeez)
Idc how viable these moves are in competetive high level PvP. I'm playing 100% PvE and in PvE Enemies dont scout. They dont stop using melee just because they know you have EB. They dont abuse ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bugs to roll out of my EB.
Sure they use Evasives against it. But they might as well do that against SSDB if I dont break them. But if I break them before then the tracking isnt worth ♥♥♥♥ anyway, since literally everything hits an enemy that is heavy broken.
SO in the end, for how I use it, EB is definitelly better than SSDB.
As is literally every other ultimate that needs a heavy Stam break as setup. Almost all of them deal more damage, almost all of them are guaranteed to hit.
Also you don't need light or heavy stamina breaks to set up S.S. Deadly Bomber. You can easily combo into it when opponents are low on stamina (-> less than 2 bars).
There are literally only 2 or 3 Ultimates in the game that need heavy breaks as setup.
