Update 1.04.1 and Mods
Did a lot of people get many of their mods messed up or unusable as well? My gods vs mortals pack was unusable pretty much. (Although there is an update for the mod coming this month)

I Got My All Hidden Chars Mod Messed up

I'm surprised mods work at all. I'm still running the game in vanilla form, mostly because we still have a ton of bugs around and with my luck, most modding would just break the game for me, regardless if they are properly installed or not. I did run the shop mod once when the game was still at 1.0.2 (or whatever the initial version number was at) and after the first patch to 1.0.3 the mod got removed (because the file it was in got updated and repackaged into vanilla form.

So for you all mod users, just stay tuned to the mod author pages. Perhaps not everyone will update their mods to the current version, and maybe some mods will not need an update, but if you mod your game, you should always be on alert for any changes.

Just kinda sucks that this update rendered some amazing mods useless. That is until the mods get updated, but like said previously, not all mods may be updated.

Yea or at least set not to automaticly download update untill you at least removed mod back to vanila game files and then update (that is why I would have backed vanila files before any modding for this reason).

Sometimes some mods will work because whatever update happened didn't overwrite over mods.

But major updates tend to change many things which makes high chances for mod to break game.

People who didn't mod before should be always aware when mods are involved your game could crash just because of simple game update and even when it didn't crash game can be screwed up as well.

People behind mods never know what developers changes are done untill game update lands this is a sad fact and nothing will change that.

Most mods seem to work fine though. All of mine did except one of them that changed the custom skill file because it removed New Goku's moves. I deleted that and the mod continued to work fine.

How can I set it to not automatically update btw?

I just have a mod that changes the music to DB Supers theme now. Skill files did mess up the SSB Kaioken Goku's moves for me as well though. Waiting for the gods vs mortals update to come out so I can use it again. Was my favorite mod, and really the only one I used.

Just small warning.

There is no 100% disable update.

There is option to set "Only update this game when I launch it" but that means as soon you launch it... it will update game so... if you didn't know there was new update coming up you would still force game to update by launching it.

At least this way there is small chance you do notice update and revert to vanila files because as long you didn't launch game it won't update.

You can actually set it to "Never Update This Game", by using "Steam Big Picture" mode, browsing to Xenoverse, clicking manage game, and then adjusting the update settings from there. Why the hell this is the only way to use ~that~ option on Steam anymore though, I have no idea.
