SSJ Differences.
Hello, I'm currently looking for info on the three variations of Super Saiyan (Super Saiyan, Super Vegeta, Future Saiyan)

I'm looking for things like the differences in ki Regen, which type of super it favors, etc.

I haven't been able to find a simple chart or breakdown.

Plenty of videos, but I am on mobile data so those are off limits for now.

Basically SSJ if you are heavily strike super/melee based, SSV if your heavily Ki super based, FSS for a "light transformation" that has a short transformation animation (but no real reason to use this over Potential Unleashed except the animation, or if you have a good super soul that works for both this transformation and your build).

that's horribly inaccurate, ss3 works perfectly fine for ki and melee, it's the most balanced of all ss and I much prefer over ssv2 for my ki build.

Potential Unleashed indeed does run until canceled.

I guess my Saiyan will be "mystic" then.

Like my human...and majin...and namek...

:steamfacepalm:
so you're saying gohan was mystic in namek saga? unleash potential is just what super kami guru does, not what elder kai does.

In PvP there is another major Difference : Stamina breaks. SS and SSV are really easily predictible and breakable. Unleashed is a little bit harder to break because the animation is faster. Future SS is very good on the other hand because it is the fastest tranformation, almost impossible to break.

Then that's my mistake then. I was assuming that the transformation, which you get from the final advancement test, was the same as Gohan's elder kai aided transformation which is commonly referred to as mystic.

Whether that's called untapped potential, potential unleashed, etc I have no idea.
Unlock Potential = What Guru does to kid Gohan and Krillin. Get this in game by doing Guru's house. The effect is that you can allocate up to 125 points to an attribute of your choice.

Potential Unleashed = What Kai does to Adult Gohan (The whole Mystic Gohan thing) This is the transformation. Get this by Z ranking all available mastery tests at the academy and completing the last test that unlocks.

As for SSJ3 being better for ki blasts than SV2, well, SV2 does have a stronger ki blast skill buff(second behind Golden Form), but everything else is very weak, while SSJ3 gives approximately (by my own testing) a similar buff to ki blast skills as Unleash Potential. Both tied for third behind Golden Form and SV2.

For a basic attack + ki blast skills hybrid, I recommend SSJ3 and learning how to manage the limited ki recovery it comes with.

The only use I see from FSS is if I want to get a quick SS1 transformation and limit it to that throughout the battle without worrying about how much ki I have when I transform since it will always be regular SS. Like all other SS transformations, it benefits from Goku's melee skill buff soul, and other souls that require SS to work.

for ki recovery just use maximum charge. full powah! and ehhh, so many skills are like literally almost exactly the same.

How is SS3 balanced in Ki and Melee when it gives 10% Ki damage, whereas SSV2 gives 17.5% Ki damage?

As for Melee, SS3 gives 20% and SSV2 gives only 7.5%.

exactly, much better spread on SS3 than anything else . ssv2 only gives 5% melee dmg.

When purely attacking, SSJ3 is more versatile for mixed builds. You will be doing great damage on basic attack and striker supers, and decent damage on ki blast stuff. On SV2 all you get is ki blasting. Nothing else.

I guess the 7.5% Melee you get doesn't matter then.

it really doesn't, not when ssj3 gives you 10% or more in both stats.

Still. It doesn't do as much Ki damage as the other form, plus it nullifies Ki gain from hitting almost completely.
