Controller problem..

So, i have played this for a while now with a controller, with no problems, but now that i start the game all input show up as ^ on the d-pad, and resetting to the default doesnt do anything, anyone know what to do to fix this problem?

i think so yes, it's my only controller and has been plugged into the same port everytime

Try configuring it in the windows settings and if that doesnt work get X360CE and use that.

Someone in another thread said that switching to online mode fixed it... or at least that it was a result of being in offline mode. No idea why that may be.

Other threads have mentioned this problem with wired 360 controllers. I use wireless with no problems, so not sure if that is something to look into.

I'll also say that I've had serious controller problems after testing a DS4 controller in big picture mode. I was unable to get any of my 360 controllers and Thrustmaster wheel or Hotas to work. After setting all controller settings in BP to default was I able to get them to work again.

I believe thats a glitch. In presuming that despite the display of the button graphics your controller is still reading normal commands during game play?

and yeah, every command worked normally, just the display was messed up

So today i experienced this controller issue 1st hand while watching my friend attempt to play this game using a ps4 controller throught DS4Windows. Viewing the input maps in setting does show all commands assingned to "UP" on the D-pad. I Found a very simple solution. . .
Open steam and go to library > open properties for game with issue > Set Steam input per game setting to Forced On. Relaunch game at let those Ki blast fly!!!
(This method should work for all xinput controllers but has only been used with a ps4 controller and ds4windows, feedback from users of other 3rd party remapping tools would be helpful to the rest of the community)

Another solution is to only connect/turn on the controller when already loaded into the conton city worldspace.
