Manually Transfer XV1 Save? (RESOLVED)
I just got this game because of the sale. I have beaten XV1 all the way up to the end of the Broly saga. My save is not being detected by XV2 despite having cloud enabled always on both games.
Is there a way to manually transfer the save through the game files? I can easily maneuver directories, I just need to know if it's possible. Another thing could be that I haven't "beaten" XV1's story maybe? I heard that you can't transfer until you beaten the story, but the whole legendary saiyan saga is fluff after beating the main story, right?

I have the same damn problem where it can't detect it. Everything is completed in my save except for the DLC stuff because I don't own those.

Here's it saying it can't find it https://i.imgur.com/OGpVPpQ.jpg

Here is steam saying it has it ... https://i.imgur.com/KVKG9vq.png

I may have accidently found the solution because I just got it to work.

1.Just start a game without importing any save data once the god of time starts talking alt+f4 it.

2. Go here https://i.imgur.com/5EsMQ71.png the 39507528 number will be different for you because it's your steam id. Delete the save file in there.

3. Open up the game and try again, it magically worked for me.

4. Post here to let me know if it worked for you because I'll be glad if other people can have fun playing too because I know I've been frustrated for hours.

Sadly this solution did not work for me.
I got it to work, but had to do a slight alteration of what he did. I exited the game and then went to the folder the guy specified and deleted the .sav file. I then went to the Steam properties for XV2 and went to the "Updates" tab and disabled the box that mentioned steam cloud for the game. After that, I launched the game and it said the save couldn't be found or was corrupted. So before I clicked to make a new one, I turned the Steam cloud back on. It made the new save and offered to do the transfer again, but this time it worked!

Hope you try it and report back.

Glad to hear there's a consistently working solution. Hope this gets pinned or something for other new players to see.

I followed this solution with a tweak, instead of deleting the .sav file, I opened it and emptied the file without deleting it, so it'd get corrupted. Make sure the file size is 0 KB, then follow the same steps shown above :)

Thanks for the solution guys, this was driving me crazy.

+1 for this method! :steamhappy:

did this also with a slight alteration

I have Xenoverse 1 installed

After exiting the game for the first time, I turned off Steam cloud for both Xenoverse 1 AND 2, then deleted BOTH saves (DBXV.sav and DBXV2.sav [which was in the folder]) After getting the starting the game up again I got the corruption message. Before making a new save, I turned the steam cloud back ON for both games. Made a new save and gave me the carryover prompt and boom, it completed

Glad that others are posting other variations that solved their problem. Means others in the future will have multiple options if one doesn't work. :steamhappy:
