Need help with xbox 360 controller
I'm not sure why, but recently all of the buttons displayed on screen show as the "up arrow" on the D-Pad. The controls still work just fine as normal, but the game tells me every single command is performed with "up arrow".

I've tried going into the options and changing it, but it immediately reverts back even after saving changes. If anyone could help me out as to why the xbox360 controller is being incorrectly displayed I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

it's a known glitch in offline game play. If you're connected to the internet it should display correctly, but with or without the button mapping should still work as intended

Ah, I am online though. I have a lot of hours on this game and it's just now doing this. Any other reasons it might be doing this?

Bgftm Did you by any chance already fix this problem?
It's happening to me right now, please help me out.

Nah I'm still having it. It's just my computer too, some controllers work on it but mine doesn't

Perhaps you just need to install a controller driver. I'm thinking that there might just be some issues with the default one that the controller automatically installs.

Try to hit the Windows start key, then search for "Device Manager." Once there, look for input devices (likely named "Xbox Peripherals"), find the 360 controller (Xbox Gaming Device?). Right-click, then hit properties. Click the driver tab, then hit Update Driver. Click on "Search automatically for updated driver software."

If that doesn't work, look for a graphics driver yourself, then try installing it through the same update UI that one can select from the properties. Install it from the disk, or install it from known drivers. Hit "Browse my computer for driver software," instead of "Search automatically for updated driver software."

If that doesn't work, then rollback the driver software to the original to avoid more potential software issues.

Lastly, if none of these work, then I can only wish you good luck from here. I hope these help. Good luck!

Thanks for such detailed help, Escryphia. I've tried everything and unfortunately none of that worked, but it might work for someone else. Thanks a ton for trying
