About the translation of migatte no gokui...
It s just something that itches my mind.
How does it end up called as "Ultra Instinct"? Because in the LATAM subs is called, translated into English, "selfish doctrine" (doctrina egoista).

I also think it s kind of a dumb/ poor name for such state, the latam one. And I know close to nothing the Japanese language. But I wonder, why is it so different? people also call it Ultra Instinct (or their equivalent translation) in other languages?

It's the consolidation of the essence of what it literally is. The literal meaning according everything I've seen talking about it is "Mastery of Self-movement". Whis talks about it a ton as the body moving on its own, without thought, instinctively... you could say *Ultra* instinctively.

They just wanted a cooler-sounding name for it in English than the stodgy name of an ancient technique you'd see in some old martial arts manual.

Wow. Well spoken! I had thought that's what it was, but I checked the wiki and found they were two dfifferent articles. Then again, Whis doesn't get all glowy when he does his instinctive dodging.

Guess mortalses is just specials.

Keep in mind, the state Goku's currently in is actually called Ultra Instinct "Omen". This easily suggests this is just the beginning of what we'll see from this. For all we know the full Ultra Instinct may be something completely different in design.

Fair point. I'm not versed in Japanese, I just gotta second-hand this stuff from other people. q-q

From what I understand, the literal translation is something like "Key point of egoism", which may sound cool in Japanese, but sounds like nonsense in any other language without the cultural context that Japanese has. I speak Portuguese and Spanish, and "doctrina egoista" is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridiculous.
Ultra Instinct, on the other hand, actually sounds nice, and translates well to just about every western language.

Same reason the Spirit Bomb is called Spirit Bomb and Saiyans are called Saiyans. Eastern languages - Chinese, Japanese, and Korean in particular - just don't translate well to western ones. It's also why weeaboos are universally disliked.

Whis was explaining that he "broke through his shell", and also mentioned the heat(I'm guessing aura) so did krillin. And Jiren. The form itself is something new, but I think it lets him use Ultra Instict, which is a technique. I have no ability to translate so I'm only going off what I read in subs.

I'm curious if he can use ultra instinct over any other forms

"Ultra Instict, which is a technique" well said.
Also its like latest transfromation its like letting body its self to be one with energy, and it only can happen if body been trained enough for that to happen. If body is one with its own master's energy, maybe body becomes one with surounding energy as well, so that body can collect information on what going on around it. So the mind is left to control major actions like how to go about a fight, and pushing energy output, and leaving for body to deal with micro actions, such as distrubiting energy though out body, and sensing what happening around the body and acting in most efficient way.

So.... to explain overall power up, its that goku is able now amost like arrange his energy in a pattern that is most efficient then ever before, instead of previuos transformation where goku was searching for greater power inside of him.
