Anyone tried XV2 on Nintendo Switch?
XV2 was released on Switch in late September 2017.

Curious to know, and want to know how many people playing online (esp ranked match). Seems it looks really awesome if one could play XV2 on mobile device when you are out.

Not sure the difference but it may be a pain to play without any save editor - it is really painful to start a new character by going through the whole stuff again.

That being said, I guess the gameplay is much fairer since there is no cheat at all.

p.s.: presently there should be no connection issue for XV2 on switch :)

I'd say save editor is cheap, but I know the only reason good people use it is to skip the tutorial. Seriously doing that for every race? Hopefully the tutorial in XV3 will be skippable

I admit that. I personally wont use save editor for the first character (it just ruins the fun) and must emphasis I haven't used any yet (tho planning to us it on second character). Technically it isn't cheating (as the power/status of the character is still within the permissible boundary of the game) but purely for the purpose of saving time of those people like me who have to work.

Anyway, don't focus the discussion much on the save editor stuff :)

To make a lead, how is the 1v1 gameplay (ranked match) on switch? Did they fix the lagging/framerate/hitbox issue? I mean, I heard that on PC version you cant really complete all light attack combos, and some of the stamina break combos (like frieza race) that is viable in PvE doesn't work in online 1v1.

The switch version seems similar to the pc version sadly, with the endless lobby issues being present and the game being severely slow on certain stages. The frame rate for the most part is only good on a very select few of the stages and certain moves and transformations can cause the game to slow down. And then theres xenoverses trademark garbage connection issues, if you thought that was a pc only thing you thought wrong.
Despite all this i vastly enjoy it more on the switch, partly because everyone is new there and its more fun to fight people while they are still learning since you get to see them adapt and grow, but mainly because they dont have a platform to be as toxic and cancerous like the steam version. Ranked match seems to be dominated by mostly japanese players so have fun if you ever expect getting more than a 2 bar in ranked, although i dont see why you would be concerned with rank in a two button beat em up meant for children

Haha, really nice that we got a Switch XV2 player here. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Sadly you got so much technical problems and the typical lagging issue of XV still remains on Switch :( People on youtube keep saying something like 60 fps for 1v1, and keep admiring this game. In fact, your comment is the first negative one I found so far ahhhhhh...

Actually I am an Asian , and I am glad to see there are so many JP players. Sorry, i am not sure what you mean by the last sub-sentence. Do you mean that ranked is for children or are you referring something else?

Thanks~~

The last part meant that the game is as simple as it is because for the longest time dbz games have been marketed mainly towards children and casual players, and that ranked in this game may aswell be non-existent because there isnt much depth or skill to be had with a two button beat em up, its like rewarding players for who can mash the hardest. And my comment on the switch version wasnt negative, those are just the issues the game has running on the switch hardware, although its more likely poor optimization on dimps' part, the switch has ran far more demanding games at a faster and more stable framerate than XV2 runs. Also worth mentioning that in docked mode the game is only rendered at 1600x900 and its fairly noticable too. Yes the game will run 60 fps in 1v1s, but like i said on most stages it wont, infact it will run at less than thirty, and even on the few stages it runs at 60 its not stable and there are a ton of factors that make it slow down. Still its active and doesnt have an almost completely toxic playerbase, so it already has one up on the pc and xbox versions
