2 maxed out stats: max out basic attacks and ki blasts or basic attacks and strikes. Give 42 to stamina and then 83 to HP (at lvl 99)
The 2nd option i use is "basic attacker" which is 125 hp/stam/basic. Its not a hybrid as far a stats go, but on the other hand you always use basic attacks at some point, and having nothing in strikes and ki blasts allows you to mix and match without feeling like stat points are being under used.
The stat debuffs can be compensated for with qqbangs and super souls which buff a particular stat you want more damage in. Just my 2 cents
Super Soul "The Ultimate Power is Mine" works out veeeeery well for hybrids as it's a universal damage boost to everything you do. Alternatively something like "A monster? No, I'm a devil!" is nice; you'll start battle with full ki and melee attacks will do a little less damage to you. A lot of other good options tend to lean more strike or more blast, or are from DLC but these two are always solid for your everyday needs.
I'm going to assume you're using a QQ bang with at least +5 Ki, +5 Stamina for each character. Doesn't really matter whatever else might be on one.
Stats template
Health - 0?
Ki - 0?
Stamina - 0?
Basic - 0
Strike Super - 100
Blast Super - 100
So with that assumed QQbang your base Ki/Stamina would be 7 bars each. Leaves you with 132 extra points to spend where you want them. Health CAN be left at zero and it won't make a super huge difference in the offline game until you get to some of the more obnoxious Expert missions. Ki and Stamina will vary in importance with race. Also, whatever your race and exact character weight is should already make each one unique in terms of effective Strike/Blast damage so there's no great need to adjust those unless you specifically want to compensate to make whatever they're not as good at equal.
Let's start with Namekian since it's the most obvious. If you want to use Giant form, you want stamina. Pump 84 of your remaining points into that for sure and pump the rest into health and/or basic attack (lean basic attack since as a race they have some of the best default health anyway and have a pretty solid basic attack modifier). With a +5 Stamina QQ bang that gives you 9 bars of Stamina. It's not max, but it gives you some extra duration on the transformation without abandoning other stats entirely. A Super Soul that increases stamina recovery will help a lot if you use the transformation a lot. This is going to be true of the Majin transformation as well.
Male Majin are the definition of balanced in terms of racial modifiers so really you can just split the remaining stats however you like. They have the highest default health so take that into consideration when statting them up. You'll want more Stamina for their transformation like with Namekian, so again, pump Stam to 84 if you really insist on using it, but do it even if you never use it because their racial bonus benefits greatly from having extra stamina. With how balanced they are by default however, why not take advantage of that high default health and chuck all 48 left into that? Finding a Stamina recovery Super Soul will be especially key for them because of the 25% damage reduction they have whenever they're above 2 bars of stamina. Likewise I know you said you've already got your skills planned, but Rise to Action is a Male Majin's best friend for that same reason. Make room for it if it's not already there.
Female Majin are all about Strikes. Kaioken will augment that better than Unlocked Potential, so it's a matter of whether you want to stick with the theme of stamina management to get the most out of their strikes, or get the universal Potential boost without the considerable drawbacks of Kaioken. Likewise, since their racial modifier is so lopsided chucking 25 points into Strike to max it out at 125 is going to be the best bang for your remaining stats, leaving 107 points for whatever else. If you choose Kaioken to lay the smackdown, I suggest 42 points into Stamina, and 42 into ki to have less reason to charge up during Kaioken, leaving 12 to pump into health. This will be really squishy for anything using Kaioken but it's against AI so whatever. If you choose Potential give yourself 42 or 84 into Ki for an extra bar or two to play with utilizing Potential's increased Ki generation and pump the rest into health to solve their squish problem. They have the highest passive stamina regeneration so even if you do choose Kaioken there's no need to worry much about that as long as you've got good management. Now, if you run Kaioken on her and find yourself having problems with the increased damage you take, consider compromising on the hybrid part and take 50 points out of Blast and move them to Health.
Frieza Race Golden Form. We finally get completely away from any and all stamina worries with them. This is a notable time where boosting Basic can actually pay off, since Golden Form buffs the hell out of your charged ki blasts (QQ bang effects on the basic stat will have no effect on Golden Form's charged ki blasts even though the raw stat will) Likewise it's easy to find a Super Soul that will boost your charged ki lemons even further if you're comfortable embracing the gimmick and using your skills more as supplements; "I am the Universe's Strongest!" is by far the best for that because its effect can stack on itself up to a 50% damage increase which is just so juicy with Golden Form. Nice change of pace personally, but it's up to you. Other than boosting your Basic to make use of the transformation's gimmick, go nuts. I leave it up to you to decide the exact amounts. All answers are correct here, including digging points out of Strike and Blast to place elsewhere. It is still notably important to keep Strike and Blast stats at least somewhat up even if you intend to go 100% Golden Form charged blasts because of situations like Expert Mission boss dodging ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
I'd probably look up Humans to comment on them too but I'm too tired right now, sorry.
Those are some amazing recommendations and I can't wait to try them out, Archmortal. Many thanks, mate. :D
(I guess having them run Hybrid is beneficial to transformations, in the long run. :P)
Tis ok, whenever you are able to. With 4/5ths of the way done, I can wait for whenever you get an idea for a suggestion on Humans. :)
Thanks a bunch again, matey. :)
125 in Health, 100 in Basic Attack, and 75 in Ki Blast and Strike Supers.
Also have the 'Light Heart Suit' as a QQ Bang which is +5 in Health, Ki and Stamina, but -5 in Basic Attack, Ki Blast and Strike Supers. You can probably make a better QQ Bang but I really don't care to try
Look for your race's inherent strengths instead and pump them to their limit i.e. Strike Supers for female Majins, KI Supers for female Earthlings or Frieza race. Afterwards, even them out by using a Super Soul that boosts the opposite Supers, like "Before creation comes ruin" or "You're just pieces in a game" (or Cabba's Soul for Saiyans). You could add to that effect of hybridizing
by using QQ Bangs as well.
That way you can switch to a min-maxed, more efficient build whenever you need killspeed for certain Ultimate Finishes or Expert Mission limits.
Example:
Max KI Supers @125 for your female Earthling (in addition to maxing stamina and either HP or Basic Attack), them turn her into a more hybrid type oft character by adding "You're just pieces in a game") for most part oft the game. Switch to " Before creation comes ruin" for Expert Missions and the endgame PQs when you want to make sure you finish weithin Ultimate Finish time limits or Boss opponents counter your strikes with Super Armor.
Edit:
Power Pole Pro is the single besteht transformation in PvP, but tbh it is mostly worthless in PvE. Definitely usw PU or Kaioken instead.
I know it will sound pretty abnormal, but it really is a pet peeve of mine to not repeating options in games that offer me so many varied options for personalized characters. To that end, I really do like to use Power Pole Pro for my Female Human (though your suggestion will be a pro bono for my Male Human, so thanks for that :D). As I said on my first post, I don't care how gimmicky it is, as long as a build can work with the transformations I have selected for each character, I will take it. :P
As a general rule, I say either max out basic attacks and then mix and match skills to work with a melee-centric fight style (abandon the absolute stat/damage and focus on the most reliable play style), or max out two stats altogether and split the difference between HP and stamina after that. In PVE it's easier to spam a bit, but pvp tends to be a lot more basic atk oriented so all of my strike and ki super builds also max out basics as a component of the damage to fill in the gaps between being able to fire those off.
The supersoul "even-out" is effective for the third offense category. Just that if someone does pvp in any capacity you have to sort of throw out a care for the absolute stats in cases where items are disabled.
I'm basic attack biased though :U
