Is it a remake of Xenoverse 1?

I have played Dragon Ball Xenoverse and i'm thinking of buying Xenoverse 2. I'm wondering if it's a remake of the first Xenoverse. Is it?

In some ways, yeah but it is a sequal to Xeno 1, play the Sagas again and if you have the DLCs you can play the Universe 7 VS Universe 6 arc and Zamasu/Goku black Arc from super. But you are a new Guy/Girl/Majin trying to be the best TP of Conton City, If you import your old TP from Xeno 1 you can get the things you have on that TP exept some attacks, outfit etc..
You meet the imported TP from Xeno 1

Not to mention with the upcomming DLC pack 5 they will be adding a Dragon Ball Heroes Mode.
Just look at some game play you will see just how different it is.

It's going to be a part of the free DLC coming with DLC pack 5, which adds in a gamemode that plays similarly to Dragon Ball Heroes (or in the current, modern case, Super Dragon Ball Heroes). You will collect statues (instead of cards) and use them to duel, like a card game.

At times it sure feels that way. Some things were just too lazy a copy & paste from the first one, even when they shouldn't be. Examples: the character selection screen looks the same, it doesn't even tell you which charged ki blast your character has; Zarbon and Dodoria were basically tucked-on to pre-existing PQs, they haven't got PQs of their own.

But it is definitely a superior game to XV1 and I personally appreciate that they're still updating the game and releasing new content.

If you want my advice, wait until the Christmas sale and you're likely to be able to buy two of those games, if not all three, for those same € 50. XV2 has been 50% off before.

Yes, but not in the selection screen itself (as far as I know). Anyway, that was just an example, there's a just lot that feels like a lazy copy, the worst being how similar most PQs are.

it's pretty the same stuff. just the chicken's all mushy and doesn't all that great. maybe if they spent more seasoning it up though.
