Hair pack mods online
Just a little question: what happens if I use some haircut added with mods, while i play online? Everything freezes and crashes? Or they will just see me as bald or something like that? °°

Hair mods overwrite one of the base game hairstyles. They'll see whatever default hairstyle you chose to replace with the modded one.

Oh, I see, they just replace them. I thought some mods actually added new slots for hairs. That's fine, then. Thanks :)

There might be some that do that? I dunno, all the hair mods that I've used were just replacers. If there are ones that add new slots, I've no idea how they would look to other people.

Look at my screenshots. Custom hair works online. No problems.

On that topic, I have a question for those in the know:

I am using a transformation skill mod, and I want to use my default hairstyle on it. I know how to change the hair I get when I transform using by changing the hair ID in chara/HUM, but I don't know how to make the transformation use whatever the character's hairstyle is by default. Can anyone help me out with that please?

Well, I'll asume you're using lazybone's awoken mod. Find the alternate hairstyles folder. If your base hairstyle is number 25 in the CaC creation, the corresponding files will be _024_. Change the _024_ to the ID of the awoken. Then drag that to HUM/HUF.

Thanks for your help. I am indeed using that mod, yes.

However I already know how to replace the mod's hairstyle with specific hairstyles but what I am trying to do is use whatever the current CaC's default hair is. I was able to do this by accident once by overwriting some of that mod's files with another mod's files, but this had other undesirable effects, so I had to revert those changes. The reason I am trying to do this is because I play mods with friends and we each have different characters.

I have tried a couple of methods but they didnt work. The first was simply deleting the related hair files. The second was to create a dummy file but neither attempts worked.

I don't know how it would exactly work, either messing through the skill with the skill editor that came with eternity's mod installer... Or it might require messing through the skill's actual files which would be done with the genser program listen in the eternity tools thread...

How would I do this to my cac online? (I know the other players can't see it I just want it for myself)

Also is there a way to change the transformation hair as well?
