Kaioken vs super saiyan
So my first character is an earthling and obviously cant use super saiyan transformation. but he can use kaioken. From what I noticed by playing as super saiyans in parralel quests (trunks for example) you just stay in super saiyan form for ever as long as your ki doesnt run out.

Kaioken drains your stanima in about 5 seconds and then its over. Is there something im missing here?

Use SSB Goku's Super-Soul, don't know the name right now. It slows down the stamina-drain of Kaioken so much that the normal stamina regeneration speed balances it out pretty much, at least for Kaioken 1x and 3x. I'd still recommend you to include "Rise to Action" in your moveset, especially if you have a Kaioken-build.

i agree with him i did that and it is op for a kaio ken build with kaio ken x2 (normal kaio ken) your stam is getting up in kaio ken 3 i dont know it is mostly stable and in x20 it use way less stamina but still drain way more then kaio ken. for ssj there is no restriction about untransform. the only thing you need to keep in mind is 3 ki bar = ssj 4= ssj2 5= ssj3. to untransform you only need to repress your transformation button. Ssj doesnt drain ki except if you use the super soul of goku that when you transform in ssj you drain ki but you have a buff

IMO kaioken can quickly backfire on you unless your a namekian or a majin race so it's up 2 you.

plus with kaioken x3 and above you take i believe 20 to 30% more damage received,i mostly use kaioken x20 to force snap vanishes out of my opponent when they are low then proceed to beat them silly, then i break my own stamina and let it recover after i knock them back, but earthling kaioken is a deadly combo, but majins are the best race to use kaioken due to them having x2 stam recovery speed, up to x4 if you include the rose super soul

It's called, " I've been saving this. Kaioken! "

You never want to use x20 Kaioken unless you have ultimates that benefit from it (Neo Tri-beam). Otherwise the first stage of Kaioken is managable, but overall useless. In most situations you want to use x3 Kaioken, as you begin to get benefits and can easily manage it with Rise to Action. The same follows with the "I have been saving this. Kaioken!" super soul, but it makes it a lot easier as you will be able to regain stamina in the first stage and x3 Kaioken will drain a little faster than you can replenish for races that don't have better stamina regen.

It is worth noting though, Kaioken will lower your defenses in stages (like how Super Saiyan raises it in stages) so be careful of getting hit by super/ultimate attacks. Overall the main purpose of Kaioken is to relentlessly attack the opponent, you need to use your stamina well or you will be greatly hindered by it. If you aren't able to keep melee combos going, abandon Kaioken for something else.

Kaioken is worthless in Xenoverse. Just pretend it doesn't exist. Mystic form trumps Kaioken in every area except for vanishing where x20 Kaioken allows infinite vanishes provided you haven't run out of stamina.

However in a game that punishes you unfairly for having low stamina despite the game giving you no adequate means of regenerating stamina I don't understand why Kaioken consumes stamina and reduces your defenses. Kaioken consuming stamina made sense in Xenoverse 1 as stamina was really only used for vanishing. Now in XV2 stamina is used for everything even though we don't have better means of regenerating it and so many transformations either consume stamina or rape your stamina generation.
