It is worth noting though, Kaioken will lower your defenses in stages (like how Super Saiyan raises it in stages) so be careful of getting hit by super/ultimate attacks. Overall the main purpose of Kaioken is to relentlessly attack the opponent, you need to use your stamina well or you will be greatly hindered by it. If you aren't able to keep melee combos going, abandon Kaioken for something else.
However in a game that punishes you unfairly for having low stamina despite the game giving you no adequate means of regenerating stamina I don't understand why Kaioken consumes stamina and reduces your defenses. Kaioken consuming stamina made sense in Xenoverse 1 as stamina was really only used for vanishing. Now in XV2 stamina is used for everything even though we don't have better means of regenerating it and so many transformations either consume stamina or rape your stamina generation.
