No buffs to melee, no incoming damage reduction, no ki or stamina buffs and to add insult to injury you don't get super armor during the transformation sequence like all others do. You can be knocked out of the (quite long) process by those measly basic ki blasts.
One of it's few uses is cheesing your way through expert missions. Max out basic attack, go gold and spam that charged death beam that then hits way harder than most supers.
Like that goku s-soul that says it replenishes hp but actually refills ki on beating an opponent.
It's actually a general message for Awakened Skills (transformations) in general. Some actually do change your aura and all of them buff stats. That's what they mean. When you go Super Saiyan your aura turns gold instead of blue for example.
It's like Super Saiyan for all races but with no penalty towards ki charging or gaining it from melee attacks. Potential Unleashed is also better than most races race exclusive Awakened Skill. Humans for rexample.
The issue with power pole, giant namekian and pure majin is that you pretty much have to build your character specifically for them as they drastically alter everything about your character.
Super saiyan, turn gold and potential unleashed are mostly just straight stat boosts and can be used on pretty much anything to just make it better.
