Fusion Voices mod collab! (Requests are welcome!)
This was the idea that inspired me to start modding in the first place. I've always wanted to create Fusion voices for new characters.

Here's the plan:
  1. Extract voice clip files from XV2 (let's say we're using Goku and a CaC's voice files as an example).
  2. Convert files to a format that can be edited through audio editing programs such as Audacity.
  3. Using audio editing program, sync two similar-sounding voice files together (Goku and CaC shouting "Kamehameha," charging up, grunting in pain, shouting for a strike attack, etc.).
  4. Repeat step 3 until you have a complete set for your Fusion character, with each voice clip organized by its use.
  5. Equalize the audio so that everything is leveled relatively evenly (when necessary).
  6. Convert files into something that can be read by XV2.
  7. Apply mod to game somehow.
  8. (Bonus) Find a way to add extra voice slots, rather than replacing old ones (currently, we have 15 voice slots for either gender. I'd MUCH rather add a 16th voice slot, rather than replace one of the originals).
  9. (Bonus) Include CaC voices from Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi.

Here's where I need help:
I lack the experience and computer literacy to perform steps 1-2 and 6-9. I'm willing to perform steps 3-5, as I feel that that's grunt work that I'm familiar with, and I'm OCD enough that I'd rather be the one to do that anyway. I need somebody who can extract these files for me, allow me to work on them myself, and then apply them to XV2 somehow. That's where you all would come in.

If you're willing to work on this project, please leave a comment or message me directly. Feel free to leave requests them in the comments below as well. Let's get this project some hype and publicity.

1. breaks copyright laws. you don't own xenoverse 2, so reverse engineering it and sharing the sound files amongst people is illegal.

You might have misunderstood. I don't need the files shared with me. I already have the files; they came with the game, after all. I don't think I gave the impression that I didn't own the game.

Unless, by "own the game," you mean in the same capacity as the game devs. In that case, I still don't think it matters. Extracting files isn't against any copyright laws that I'm aware of. If it is, it's a law that's very rarely enforced.

edit: cleared up a thing

it does matter, and it is a law that is enforced, especially if you're making new content with it. in most cases, modding when a game does not allow it is breach of copyright, people get sued all the time over it, gta v modders for example have gotten sued and r* wins, easily, every time.

I'll move forward with this warning in mind, my man. Thanks.
