Difference is Xenoverse 2 was properly developed by a professional team.
The world, is very dead, it's not populated, & some of the population doesn't even have to come from people, either...
The Bars above the characters... Need more dynamics... i'm not sure how that can be fixed, but they look flat & distracting... I think they need to be more pop out like, look nicer, & be readable, not so small, i'm not sure, but I also don't think they should be moving in 3D like that...
Does that make sense?
I would like to see what a City looks like or village, or some sorts, with achitectures or whatever... I wanna see what these look like? Add building destructions?
Fighting in these places?
How about fighting in a location with an Active Volcano? Magma rains on the field, causing environmental Damage, & injuries to characters... As they fight, No?
The Mountain fight, can use some snowy effects, no? Something that isn't too over the top?
Maybe show some foot prints in snow?
Maybe have a grass field, actually have wavy grass, & you know, trees that act when it's windy?
Allow characters to slam into cliffs & such, causing damage to cliffs?
Just an idea how to spruce up the game a bit?
Maybe you could use some lively wild life in some maps, such as animals from the actual Dragon Ball Universe, i'm sure DBZ & even Dragon Ball, might have something there, ~_~
1 thing that just popped into my head is, I only just thought of it...
Make the world look realistic, but also had some Elements from the show to break the barrier? No?
Make the characters look like they do on the Show, but use realistic coloring on the characters... So it's cartoony & realistic at the same time?
No?
These are just ideas, i'm not telling you how to make the Game, not saying how to make it good, not even saying that you should do it, i'm just offering a thought... That is all... =D
PS: I almost forgot...
If this is indeed an Open World Game, & it's all on one map, you might want to include an interface, like something where as you can see a radar or map, & such, as some items your carrying? NPC's, & such, maybe include some famous Story landmarks, such as Gero's Labratory, or other things, like maybe introduce master roshi's house, oO
No? I am fully aware this is just a Demo, so i'm sure you have lots of ideas how to improve, & finish the Game, once it's finalized, & make it different from how the Demo of it is now... ~_~
Good Luck, ^_-
I agree with this a 100%, we need an Open World Game done right... Not a hybrid, or nock off of one... Yes, Bandai is basically the ones who make these Games, & people would most likely play theirs over a fans Game, but 1 person going up against a whole company of people, is just not an ideal, it is only fantasy...
But then again, isn't the whole idea, that an enormous Company all starts with just 1 individual?
What I mean by Nock offs... Is that Bandai created a DBZ World in Xenoverse, but it's like a nock off of that world, because it's not very real to that DBZ world we see in the comics & series... It's just pieces of locations on a Hub fake platform, that is it... ~_~
Compared to Budakai Tenkaichi 2 & DBZ Sagas, & as well as Ultimate Tenkaichi, which Bandai did also make... the World of Xenoverse is really lacking... ~_~
You guys can clearly hear the NPC's talking, but all I hear is a speed up gargling mess... ~_~
when they speek, I hear 1 or 2 words that I can actually make out, & then they instantly say like 100's of words, in like 1 millisecond, & the NPC's sorta have a siezure durring this process, @_@
I really like how the created characters interact with the world of DBZ with the Game, but I don't like how the characters just help push events to actually happen... Like I don't want my Character to just arive, stall a villain, so that the real fights happen... I would like to see how things might turn out if my Characters got too out of it, that they might cause an actual event to accur in the timeline, that has to be recorrected possibly? I dunno... I wanna see more involvement with the timeling, & see changes being made...
But if that isn't the case, then we should only play as DBZ Characters in the story mode... & Custom in other modes, ~_~ But the thing is, I want the original story... I dun care about edited, or extended cuts or whatever... But I don't wanna see alternate scenes, such as Bardock going SSJ... for instance... That was only in a movie, which was right before the release of Super...
That isn't part of the original story of DBZ, that video says DBZ, but we also had a Return of Goku & Friends as a DBZ movie, & it also doesn't fit the story, ~_~
If you include those, use them as an alternate reality or use them in a separate plot line?
or use them as part of Super arc, which can be seen as a flashback, I dunno, ~_~
