how to upgrade my warriors for battle?

how do you upgrade your warriors they all say 1 next to them apart from the first women that says 2 - i don't know how it happened or how to level up any others - is there a menu for this or something, please help

i just seen your post. i hope this helps you the herbalist hut will upgrade your troops to next level but you will upgrade your vlillage hut to highter level troops. i would say build all desense up to max and all other buildings before you upgrage your village. overwize you will find a lot higher players hitting you as you have a weak defense.
