Substance Painter 2

Substance Painter 2

Multible Objects in SP to build a Texture Atlas?
I have about 8 ojects, all of them which need to be combined to a sinlge texture atlas.
Doing that manually in photoshop is a pita because:

- Substance Painter has no Amount of Padding Settings
- Changeing textures would require to redo the antire atlas again.

Is it possible to have multible objects in substance painter, using the same output texture?

Yes, just make sure all your objects share the same material before you import it in Substance Painter, and all your object will share one texture set.
Thank you for your reply! But ...how? I mapped the UV cordinates befor import in Blender, so they are okay, but after I export the texture from substance, only the part of the model which is currently loaded in gets exportet. So I still end up with dozens of images.
Is there a tutorial on this somewhere? :)

when you're in blender, create one material file, then assign that material to all objects that share the texture atlas. export all the objects into one fbx and then import them in substance painter.
Uh! I did not know that was possible! Will have to do some tests asap. Awesome. Thank you!
