Long AO Bake Times at 4k?
I have a high res mesh that I'm using to bake my maps onto just like anybody would, but in my case the low-res mesh is a flat plane.

For some reason, i can bake the AO in anywhere from 1-30 seconds as long as I keep the resolution to 2k and under.

If I set the resolution to 4096, I've left it running for 19 hours and it's still at 0%. I'm not joking, I left it overnight, through the next work day and forgot to check for about 4 hours after I got home. It was still on 0%.

As soon as I drop the resolution back to 2k, it finishes in 30s at the worst. All of the other maps build in a combined total time of about 2 minutes at 4k... as long as AO isn't set to bake. If it is set, it just fails.

The highres mesh is about 60k polygons.

Specs:
8core 4.5g
64g
TitanX

I don't know if this is just me or what.

I think it's the AA setting. I had mine at 8x8. Lowering it to 2x2 seems to let the bake go at normal speed.

It even took ages to bake 512 maps with AA at 8x8 and it's both AO and Thickness again.
