When I try to make a new project, there is no 8K option its still at 4K only. is there a fix or is it a bug?

You can create a 4k project and export in 8k, there will be an option in export window. It will automatically recompute to a higher resolution.

It is missing from export for me. If Froyok on the polycount forum is to be believed, it is a glitch caused by the hardware detection software that needs to be patched. Have no flippin clue when that will be.
