Is this a HOG or free-form free-movement game?

What is a HOG? This game seems to have been made for console. I don't like the pick up everything and try everything kind of puzzle. I like puzzles like MYST.

HOG is a casual games term. The gameplay is mainly looking at static 2D pictures and find hard-to-see objects. Nowadays. they are called HOPA (hidden-object puzzle adventure games), which include adventure game elements, as pure HOGs aren't made anymore. The best HOPA I've ever played is a game called The 13th Skull that involves hidden treasures and pirate legends in Louisiana.

I have to disagree to some points. This game contain a lot of "hidden objets". Not only for the bonus coins and photos, but for crucial hints and stuff that are required to progress the main puzzles.

The puzzle are good and require some thinking. But I hate when i can't find a logical solution to a problem because i haven"t spotted this pixel above the shelf or that paper hidden behind a crate. That drove me crazy.
Nonetheless, and despite those pixel huntings part (that drove me crazy), I enjoy the game just finished the planetarium . And some off those pesky bonus are in fact really nice to search for.
