Too high assembly Cost for Desginer Ship
Hey guys, I made a Ship in the Ship Desginer. Its not rly big and not Complex. Ive got all Ores and a pre build many thinks like gens and Thrusters but Assembly Cost is still over 300k$

Is there a way to reduce this? Because I think its way to much for a small fighter like Ship. :unpopular:

Craft the used component items yourself, especially all the bigger stuff like generator components and thruster pieces. This will drastically reduce the assembly cost, since you're paying for every second it takes to convert the ores into the corresponding items.

Just make sure not to craft modules - craft the Ship Parts.

EDIT: If you have at least one part in your station for every variety of parts used in the ship, in the Material Cost tab you will be able to see how many such parts are used in the design and how many you already have in the storage.

Unfold all the most expensive categories and F12 to screenshot it, so that you'll have an accurate list of things you should queue for crafting. Take note that you can right-click items in the Crafting menu to queue multiples of the same item, instead of clicking dozens or hundreds of times.

300k is a lot for a "small designed ship", as my modified labourer was only coming out at just over 100k...

It is likely related to weapon components, which require quite a bit of time to craft.

300k is not much. You can make it in one day.

If you drive out to zone 4 to mine there, you can make millions in a day by mining kutonium.

Or just a single run in a good mining freighter sitting in the safe zone. That said, for a fighter 300k is pretty expensive. My gunship is a bit under 40k to assemble, only 10.5 stacks of ore too.

Can you import the laborer to the ship designer? If so: How? :o

You can open premade blueprints, which includes the Laborer Module.

It's not the same laborer, though. It's an older version

It's a different version certainly, theres more on it and its ripe for...modification

My next one is going to be a bit of a...radical cut and shut job :)

Even if you have all parts it can be expensive.

if you're truly strapped for assembly cost, you can go grind the roids or try to rob someone. But you already know that.

You can also just print your ships frame and ducting, along with any parts you may be missing. The fee will be much much lower.

You then take ship to ezbuild and assemble her with your parts. You take the assembly cost so your time is worth what you think its worth.

Grind asteroids, kill others, or just put together your ship like an assembly bot.

No, EasyBuild is for MODULES, not parts, and should only be used for ships created in EasyBuild.

'Ship data cannot be loaded' ships are being sold privately by the corporations for an additional 10 million on top of the ore costs, build costs etc..

I meant the building obviously, Press the . and assemble here there since you have no thrusters to move her anywhere. :cozyspaceengineersc:

*Granted on a disposable warship id not invest labor into it.
