Crafting from your Ship
So I have a crafting bench set up on my ship, and I'm connected to my resource bridge, but it doesn't let me craft basic ship parts or items. I've tried finding an answer on the forum here, and I'm getting conflicting answers - is it possible to use your cargo inventory to craft on your ship, or is it not a thing right now?

I can craft just fine using a bench on my ship, as long as I'm close enough to a station inventory, either mine or origin.
Not tried in the middle of space though.

Should have clarified - I meant in the middle of space.

You get conflicting answers because the devs make frequent updates and the game is constantly changing, especially regarding crafting and research.

Currently, you need bench upgrades from the tech tree for advanced items. Otherwise, you can only use ore from your inventory. But expect it to change next week.

i've crafted a few things, but you can make sure you're tethered, and on the crafting table on the right theres a inventory craft and station craft, click the inventory one and see if that does anything. if not, then i guess not.
