Lag? How Can Lower end Computers Deal with Starbase?

I use a Lower end computer (old grafics card) And even through i see great content, how Will people like me, Be able to use this game? is there going to be Cross-Platform? or is there Going to be something like Rust's "Potato" Quality? How will Servers Deal with lag in General?

Not.

Having less than the minimum GPU would make the game not very fun to play and might also kill yer GPU in the process.

I do not exactly see what you mean with "Cross-Platform" tho.
As far as i know they do not have any plans on porting to Console devices.

So, exactly why would you want a game in 2020 to run on your god knows how old PC? The specs are not even out of chart, it's slightly over a casual home PC.

The game helps this by using more powerful PCs from other players do all of the calculations for you while the lower end ones can just focus on displaying whats on screen to save power. The minimum specs are actually the recommended specs (1080p w/ mix of high and medium settings) while the "recommended" specs is for max settings @ 4k.

I’m just gonna add on to this with the fact that a dev got the game to run fine on a GTX 970, so really any half-decent pc will be able to run this perfectly, along with quite a few older rigs.

well its dead obvious it would run on 970 what can't that card do...

On serious note though
lot of it will also depend on your screen resolution.
but with graphic tweaks there isn't much a 970 can't run on lower resolution.

getting closer to 10 years old and the 970 never ceases to impress.

Though that does prove its not going console
ps4 gpu is about same as 580gtx

its much worse than that, try a gpu from ages ago far past 10 years ago if it were using some similar to a 580 as you so say, yall would be paying so much more for the consoles

my old gtx 960 can run every game on hd @60fps. I dont think starbase will need much more. The videos look lagfree.
However i bought a gtx 1660 super.

very soon people will start posting videos of the game with different machine setups and we'll have a better idea of how it is running on different equipment

yeah, i play with an rx 570 and it struggles with frames, so i think starbase will probably crash when you try to play or fry your gpu.
