Please get rid of the death system when no cards left
I was about to win in Take Two,turn 19.The guy had 3 hps.I had 20.I had a 4/3 available to attack.

And then the game considers I loose cuz I'm unable to draw cards, even tho I literally just need to drag my follower unto the ennemy's leader portrait to win.

I think it's pretty useless and counter-productive to snatch a well deserved win (that guy started second and topdecked Olivia) simply because you have no cards left.

....I guess it's a common mechanic to most of TCG's,but,heh.....

Hm, I don't know a lot about this game since I started playing two weeks ago, but the top decks end the game around turn 8-9, if not before, so is very rare the deck runs out anyway.

Also, is a common mechanic in Yu-Gi-Oh, a popular TCG, that if you can't draw cards from your deck, you lose. (Or at least it was when I stopped playing by February of last year).

Strangely, I'm really fine with this system, despite having lost once due to deck out (worse, it's not even a Take Two match).

I think that you deserved the lost. Seeing that you're in huge advantage, it's a wonder why you are unable to kill him with all your resources beforehand. Maybe you're not ready to trade blows, or he actually planned on decking you out by forcing you to draw/play lots and still surviving (which is another way of winning, especially in Take Two, where you only have 30 cards in your deck). Still, just my personal opinion, so don't take it seriously.

Yeah, Hearthstone is the outlier here.

Yugioh, MtG, Vs System, Pokemon TCG, Altiel, DBZ TCG, Kaijudo just to name a few, all involve instant loss if you're forced to draw from an empty deck.

Yea I always thought it was weird that you only lost health for running out of cards in hearthstone. Granted you could only last a couple of turns as it got heavier and heavier each turn, but you could last 4-5 turns especially if you had heals in your deck without drawing any cards which was just bizarre.

yeah i like it that there is a instant death . puts more pressure and more excitement in the game in my opnion. Also never understood the damge thing in hearthstone. gives to much lead way for people to not play tactically and use thier cards wisely.

"You deserved the loss [...] as he maybe tried to exhaust you by forcing you to play all the cards in yoour deck."

Actually an excellent point !But I don't think he actually planned it : he had 2 cards left too,and we actually spent the entire game trading blows (even he had a crapton of wards :p ).

But he started second (which is already a huge advantage in Take Two),and refilled his evo points with Olivia. So I think I fought pretty well, and actually deserved to win here ,as I managed to get rid of all his 6 evos without taking a single direct hit.

I actually never heard about that HS system,it seems pretty interesting!

Yesterday,an opponent lost because of the Instant Death system.Victory felt like salt in my mouth, lol.

Thank y'all for your answers,by the way!

To clarify, Hearthstone has the drawing player take cumulative +1 damage per draw with no deck. The player takes 1,2,3,4,etc damage.

This made Control Warrior (who can accumulate extra health in the form of Armor) and Control Priest (who has means of making their deck larger) the only two real fatigue decks, with the former being the only meta-relevant deck of the two. But with HS's newest expansion, Druids got a core card that allows them to infinitely add to their deck size, which effectively kills Fatigue and Mill style decks that aren't Druid.

If they're balanced, this could make an interesting mechanic here, don't you think so?
