Limiting D-shift is my solution so I can at least *-play-*
sadly there is space only for meta , fun is no more allowed.
D-Shift, just play agro.
Personaly, in Unlimited, I think only Isabelle is broken and erika and Yuwan are just barely good. Rowen is garbage, Luna is trash, Eris is trash, and Arisa I can't say.
You can't just say it's not broken because you beat it sometimes with highroll dude. Everyone play's that ♥♥♥♥ for a good reason and there's tons of different version around that Isabelle.
Against D-Shift play aggro ? Really ? You never saw the version they play Isabelle in D-Shift ? You get your board as aggro like turn 3-4 and they just anihilate it all with Quadra Magic. And with Element of Creation they recover 10hp so your burst was useless.
Even without it it's not the way they should arrange the meta by making people play aggro cause they're just making a step back where people only played Aggro Blood Wrath and D-shift because it's the only thing which can beat Rune without highroll.

I was playing Last Words Shadow because it is very solid and Vs D-Shift the only way to win is to have full board atomy on 3 or 4 and with necroimpulse so it's highroll dependent so it's garbage.
For me it's :
LW (last words shadow) vs Dshift 15/85
LW vs Blood 70/30
LW vs Portal 40/60
I don't think discard Dragon is a thing, they absolutly need the emissary dragon before 5 to be able to win.
Haven is great if you highroll early summit temple with cats.
1) Unranked - people playing meta decks
2) Ranked mode - people playing the same meta decks
3) GP - people playing the same meta decks
4) Take two: used to be good, requiring skill to build a proper deck & pilot. Now it's: draft winning card(s), draw your winning card(s), roll face on keyboard.
5) Open 6: in my opinion, a flawed mode. stakes are high, RNG cards, RNG leaders. same problems as take two. can't get leader cards
6) Occasional unique GPs: pretty fun!
It's crazy to me that they did nothing for their anniversary recently, they just gave people packs. The game has a lot of potential, they just aren't using it in comparison to the other "f2p" card games.
The existence of cards such as d-shift/spartacus/w.e without equivalent control tools will always mean that this format is degenerate. This is also happening in rotation. They would essentially have to implement a "scorched earth" policy on nerfs to fix this game. They will never do that because the game is designed to be a solitaire game, where interaction with your opponent doesn't mean much and emphasis is put on you accelerating your win condition. This has become more and more true as time goes on. The game has always been a more casual game that is designed to for quick matches and strong win conditions. I honestly don't think that will ever change and it will only get worse.
There's many way to fix the issue but it feels like they don't mind.
1)They can start a banlist
2)Simply nerf the problematic cards
3)They can add counters
4)They do have nice mechanics like invokes or choices but they can dig it deeper. Even with the left over playpoints mechanic that portal had.
5)The game gained so much powercreep that I think an upgrade of 10 hp should be added to reach 30 hp total so it gives us a chance to go a longer game. Aggro would be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ but then why not add an other format or something like that ? Personaly I hate take two and open 6 and as you said in Unranked they play meta and Rotation is going in the wrong way as well.
5)I think they should revise the leader passives because it is useless for some of them like Haven which is specific on amulets but 3/4 of them are trash unplayable. And they are not specific anymore like for dragon they were supposed to be the only one ramping but they released Ramiel. They gave cost reduction to others than Rune... Sword passive is useless.
Just like you I think they will not fix the issues. I'm waiting for the next expension to give them a last chance.
In the past what they did is that strong cards/effects came with a tempo loss. Something like reduced evo stats, bad stats in general, weak evo/fanfare. Now they just print 3 mana 3/3s & 4 mana 4/4s with insane effects. That ♥♥♥♥ just makes them instant include in every deck. You don't need to think about tempo loss or card deficit because your op win condition card has bane, primo stats, full evo stats, draws you a card, has an insane evolve effect, etc.
Why the hell are the cards that massively accelerate your uninteractive "win condition" have all these effects?
It's like when they decided to put Prime Dragon Keeper like she was before and meanwhile they decide to upgrade Shipsbaine Pleisiosaurus like WTF they do both the same thing but the second one is wincon and the first is trash. Too many cases like that, I don't know what they are thinking really.
