Arena tickets are for the Arena, 0 wins out of 5 gets you 1 card pack ticket and 4 wins out of 5 gets around 130 gold and a pack ticket, sadly never won 5, so you're garenteed a new card pack in Arena.
I used 2800 gold/rupies/whatever on the leaders packs, then saved 1000 rupies and bought 5 of each pack. Then heard the new expansion will come end of the year so I'm just saving Gold now.
Log in rewards include card packs and a arena ticket, but I wouldn't recommend blowing all your take-two tickets unless you're really good and know you'll make the gold back.
As for arena tickets, 2nd what braboobssiere said - make a private match with a friend and practice take two with them. If nothing else, have them come into lobby, make a deck, then exit out and remake a deck just so you get experience making take two decks. If you don't have an eye for understanding if a deck is good or not by looking at it, then use it in practice, but usually it's easy enough to tell if a take two deck is going to be decent or not as soon as it's done (if you have some experience with the game). Also, this helps for regular matches too as it lets you see more variety of cards so you can better understand what cards what classes have and what you could be going up against.
