From a person with Kaiji on avatar
Especially "Pay to win" part
1: You don't get to choose who you are paired against. If someone in grandmaster hits the play button, it's not their fault if for some reason they get matchmade against a noob, if that actually happens which it probably doesn't. It's more likely they got their grandmaster flair in one format and are now playing their way up through the other format. Separate formats have separate ranks.
2: People with meta decks in low ranks are either just starting too, are transitioning as I explained above, or suck so bad they can't progress out of that tier even with their netdeck. Players can't both gatekeep and win all the time in this game. They would have to throw as many games as they win to stay low.
Players who main unranked with meta decks are absolutely the most garbage players, not gonna argue against that. There needs to be an unranked format that doesn't allow tournament winning decks at all so players have a chance to experiment and actually play casually without tryhard cowards clogging it up.
The reality unfortunately is you will need to craft a meta deck to progress in this game. Fortunately there are a lot of low cost decks, you don't have to jump straight to a 12 legend deck to do well. You can also join a clan and request off-meta games that way.
Hang in there good luck.
If you want to experiment decks and play for easy wins then go play the ai then. No one cares that people are copying decks
easy wins using experimental decks... hmmm something seems off yet, everyone playing the same deck ain't fun. nor it's the same deck stomping everything.
Dunno why you take this arrogant attitude toward me , especially when you are ignorant.
Kaiji character play games where money is involved ,not games where someone spent hours of grind + money will have significant advantage toward a newbe opponent.
I just understand the heavy frustration but let s face it :
Shadowverse is a competitive game and the compagny sells cards.
It s true than the compagny tries to get more money from cosmetics than trying to sell power to people, and did a lot of efforts to welcome noobs.
But there s still a lot of difference between someone who studied the game and spent a bit of $ that a free player going casually.
I have been absent for almost 3 years , and i do not recognize the unranked play.
It became highly competitive and i think the noobs just fled the game.
I watched anime, thus made this comment. This thing is closer to arrogance then to ignorance
aaaand if you whant to blame person you should point out its mistakes, not just throwing words at random.
Rest assured, noobs are still here. But part of the comment about "studied the game" from Kaiji on avatar sounds like a bit like Kaiji. With all outcomes of this statement.
My Kaiji picture betrayed me.I surrender.

am i doing right thing....?
I thought of giving it a second chance with the newest expansion (Death-Metal Legend rocks
It's really a shame that the beautiful artwork, the funny voicelines and the flashy gameplay is completely wrecked by unbalanced cards, non-functional matchmaking and toxic netdecking
We casual fun players can only dream what a good game Shadowverse could be if the company actually cared about improving the game for all audiences instead of just catering to whales and highly competitive people like pros / netdeckers
Lets be honest, everyone wants to be quick with their dailies. It has nothing to do with their skill level or toxicity.
