about 99% of the information you want about this game past the basics will be in japanese, because the playerbase is 99% japanese. Good site you can look for updated decks is gamewith. If you can't read ♥♥♥ then just use google translate. otherwise you will need to rely on reddit which if you ask me, is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ compared to japanese players that play 12/7
copy and past シャドウバース GAMEWITH into google and then click on either アンリミ最強 or ローテ最強 for rotation or unlimited deck tierlist
If you don't know what rotation or unlimited is, rotation is a game mode where some some cards are restricted to make the game more slower, while unlimited restricts only 2 cards(And you can still put them in your deck anyways) Unlimited is better for new players looking to save vials not destroying cards every update to adapt to rotation, but its harder to play as everyone has very good decks.
Just login rewards Take Two and story if you can.
After new expantion release you will get enough cards to create more or less playable deck.
And better play Rotation, because Unlimited will punish you too hard, from word splatter.
You can check reddit and find out a lot of usefull info, every player somehow tinker deck based on their preference, so do not by shy to do this. Even copied deck(without correction on ranked playstyle) from GM - M player may be bit worser in low rankeds, based on opponents, but usually much superior.
As i mentioned above new exp. usually shifts "meta" do not create any decks untill then if you recently started game
You can watch YT videos to learn mechanic as well, some are quiet nice, like BTC.
That being said, many beginners think, "If I just make a deck for this class I'll get through the story mode in no time." Just making a deck doesn't mean it'll be a good deck. If you just put a bunch of cards together, then it'll sink. Sure, you might win sometimes, but you'll lose mostly with a hodgepodge deck. Usually if you look at the best players online you'll usually see a pattern: Not only do they have multiple copies of cards that work in their favor, but when they preview their decks, their decks don't go past the screen. They don't have to scroll on forever just to see all their cards. The reason for this is consistency; they try to minimize randomness in their decks as best they can. They also have a win condition and strategy in mind as in how to beat the opponent.
Then again, it might not be your deck. Maybe you're playing a class that's not suited for your playstyle. That's okay, everyone has that one class (or two) they don't really play. For example, I don't play Dragoncraft or Bloodcraft too often, with the exception of Machina Blood for Bloodcraft. Reason being that with Dragoncraft it all depends on whether you can gain more play orbs early on as you'll need them to unleash your most powerful cards. Besides, most Dragoncraft decks are too expensive to make right now, and I like to manipulate the field and hit you simultaneously (mid-range) than just ramping so I can hit you in the face later on. With Bloodcraft I just don't like taking my life to activate vengeance or gain abilities ( that goes for the Black faction in Magic also, not just Shadowverse).
Anyway, for story mode I would just play a prebuilt deck for now (but don't buy one; you can copy those with vials now). They work well for the AI in story mode. For now I would just do the Morning Star all the way to Guild Wars: Conclusion for now because starting from Gears of Rebellion and Seeds of Conflict both of those arcs only have four characters you can use. Also, assuming you said you can't beat chapters 5-6 of story mode, I would predict you're playing Yuwan's Morning Star story. If that's the case, then yeah, it would be hard because Portalcraft as a class came in later (right when Chronogenesis debuted). If that's the case, then you'll need Lishenna, Orchis and/or Zwei (good for puppet decks) or Absolute Modesty (good for artifact decks). Make sure to get Maisha too, as she's good for both puppet and artifact decks.

Shadowverse is very generous with its starter rewards like the whopping amount of free card packs in the beginning but the problem is that this game is also the hardest card game to get wins and complete daily quests!
I'm a seasoned veteran of card games starting with Magic The Gathering (Offline ^^) in the 90s and of the three digital card games I have played so far, Shadowverse is the most frustrating with self-build decks!
Both Hearthstone and Eternal are so much more beginner friendly win-wise because Shadowverse has the worst matchmaking, balancing and the heaviest netdecking community of the three.
So take my advice and stear clear of Shadowverse... not because it is a bad game but just because it is the most frustrating card game if you do not want to go 100% top tier netdecking.
No fun for meme players like me or total newbies like you
HS & Eternal are like your male buddies you have known for long time. They are easy, fun and pretty fair but they are not that remarkable or attractive.
Shadowverse is like the very hot girl in a bar or club you have just seen for the first time.
She has a great bosom and bottom (card art) and smiles seductively at you (starting free packs).
But the moment you go over and want to get to know her better, she reveals herself as a very demanding and cold biatsch and swats you down immediately and repeatetly!
To please her you have to bow down and do heavy work (netdecking and top tier deckbuilding with a long farming phase to get all the OP legendaries) before she gives you a little bit of affection again.
I don't know if you are into this kind of girls and if you are, then welcome to Shadowverse, but I am not and have had a much better time and way more fun with Hearthstone and Eternal than with Shadowverse

Good comparison btw
