What should I buy with crystals?

Hey guys! I thought I would give this game a try, so far I'm liking it, and I droped the $4 for the new year promotion 600 crystals. I noticed that a pack costs 100 crystals, the same in rupies, so I don't really think it worth it. However, a pre-built deck for the first time is only 500, are those worth it? Also, I bought a pack for 50 crystals as "daily deal", do they reset every day? So technically I can buy 12 packs for my 600 crystals?

Hi, prebuilt decks depend if your prefer a certain decks and if the cards in it interest you (if you play haven and don't need the legendary then it's not worth). Buying 12 packs rely on rng and can pay off.

And yes, you have a daily reset for the 50 crystal offer.

Yes they reset the daily deal every day. The best thing to do as a new player is to find the class that you connect with, so you know you will enjoy playing it through the good times and the bad. Then experiment with the cards until you find what's right for you.

If you wish to be competitive and test your mettle in ranked check around the forums and such for strong archetypes for your class and build a deck around that. The best way to do that is to check the legendaries and gold cards in the new prebuilt decks, there are a lot of valuable cards there.

Examples in no particular order:

Forestcraft - Crystalia Tia, Ancient Elf, Elf Knight Cynthia. Rhinoceroach & Elf Girl Liza.

Swordcraft - Aurelia, Sea Queen Otohime, Alwida's Command & Frontguard General.

Runecraft - Merlin, Timeworn Mage Levi & Dimension Shift.

Dragoncraft - Dark Dragoon Forte, Wyvern Cavalier, Genesis Dragon & Neptune.

Shadowcraft - Cerberus, Lord of the Flies, Mordecai the Duelist, Foul Tempest, Phantom Howl & Death's breath.

Bloodcraft - Bloody Mary, Queen Vampire, Dire Bond, Righteous Devil, Revelation & Temptress Vampire.

Havencraft - Moon Al-mi'raj, Themis's Decree & Winged Sentinel Garuda.

Also to note, there are legendary and golden cards not listed here but they're not particularly strong in the game right now as they're outclassed by better effects that do the same thing for the same or similar PP cost.

I'd say buy the packs with rupies and consider using 500 of your 600 crystals on a deck. Prebuilt decks have some amazing value especially if you're starting off, they'll help you transition into the game quickly as opposed to grinding for packs, however generous this game may be. Assuming you're not going to buy more crystals anytime soon again, you should first try out all the classes to have a feel for each one, and choose the prebuilt deck of the class that you want to play the most.
You can then stick to that class, playing the game as you naturally accumulate more and more rupies through daily quests, achievements, log-in bonuses and the whatnot until you spend them on packs and obtain enough cards to create a decent deck for another class. Just by playing the game, you'll eventually acquire enough cards to create multiple decks for every class, even if you'll need to use a couple substitutes here and there.

So yeah, you should definitely buy one of the prebuilt decks. If you don't see yourself spending any more money into this game, I'd say use the other 100 crystals to buy 2 packs, but if you are, then save up and look for another one! The emblem and sleeves are actually really cool too!

Prebuilt decks if you're new, packs from the new expansion if you're a veteran. Plus you won't regret having the alternate art if you end up playing for a long time. List your current legends/golds and that can get some insight towards what prebuilt you should buy. Just stay away from heavencraft and rune prebuilt.

i would buy one of the pre-builts for your favourite class. 500 crystals is 10 packs. in 10 packs you are really unlikely to get 5 golds and 2 legendaries for the same class. Most of the time the legendaries and golds are really high quality too (Shadow is a great example of this)

Not al the prebuilts are equal in quality, Dragon for example only has 1 really high quality legendary (Forte), while Shadow and blood have two. That being said, i still bought the dragon one because forte + the golds is a good deal for a dragon player.

imo shadow is the best one by itself, but someone might correct me on this. but the golds and legendaries are extremely good

I bought Crystals just for the one pre-built deck. Bought the 300 Crystal and the 600 New Year packs, which are cheaper than the usual crystals then started using the left over for a daily 50 pack.

Packs aren't worth the Crystals, but still feel game is worth the support, so a pre-built now and then couldn't hurt.
